Figure out? Who do you wanna find beside Pouraliganji?

        You are right for PAG.

I hope HajiSafi is going to play as LW for us and not in LB. He was great today and we definitely need his long shots against Uzbekistan. Hajisafi is awesome in LW.

He picked an untrained, ill-prepared and unsuitable BUT EXTREMELY FAN-POPULAR player to get that pressure off him. And voila! Suddenly in the eyes of immature iranian fans, he became a savior and grand master and whatnot. Never bothering to see just what an unsuitable appointment this was.

CQ, the ever cunning and sly politician and populist.
There was actually much more pressure on CQ before the 3 crucial WCQ matches in 2013 and at that time everyone was pressuring CQ to invite Ali Karimi and Rahmati and if CQ was worried about his popularity or wanting to get people's approval he would have invited those 2 back to the team but he didn't and when we qualified to world cup that's when he became exteremly popular and everyone praised him for standing up against "Bazikon Salaari"

CQ is a populist to keep his job and nothing is wrong with it as long as he doesn't get carried away. He needs to have the favor of few retired footballers who people respect. This way he can shut down the likes of Mayeli and Asadi for ever but if he loses his cool he might use it to shut down all constructive critics as well.

Back then when he didn't invite Rahmati and Aghili despite our situation his credibility was at stake. It was either do or die, so he didn't care about popularity because it couldn't save him.

If he was a populist he would have invited Karimi and Rahmati for those 3 crucial games so he would have had both persolisi and esteghlali fans by his side but he didn't. If someone is not looking for approval of most of the nation in the most crucial times then there's no reason for him to do it later when he was at his peak of his popularity. Just like Nader said people were sending so many messages to Rouhani to keep CQ.

The only reason CQ brought Ali Karimi was because IFF pressured him to have a young iranian coach by his side and he wanted to give that shot to Ali Karimi who CQ had so much respect for him and thought it would be a good opportunity for him to learn everything from him from the beginning.

Karimi is not coach material. He is so emotional and that job can kill him. CQ should have chosen someone like Karim Bagheri, Mahdavikia, or Hashemian.

The only reason he chose Karimi was because he had previously worked with him and he thought it would be better to give the job someone that I know and I have worked with before.

Mahdavikia and Hashemian would have been a better choice but CQ didn't know them personally so he was much more comfortable giving the job to someone he knew. It's the same exact concept with hiring. I would prefer to hire someone that I know that someone that I don't.

Mohammad Reza Saket: "At the game against Korea, we will make Azadi into Hussainia."

As you know the game against Korea will be held on Tasu'a. Make yourselves ready for another mixing of sports and religion.

So instead of uniting people with wearing white they're gonna ask people to wear black? Only in IRAN. Then we wonder why people are depressed all the time in Iran. One of them is because of out 365 days they are mourning 200 days of it.

Maybe they should learn from Sunnis at least they don't mourn or wear black or anything.

We've had this happen before (religious mourning holiday coincide with a match).
There is a lot of talk but it doesn't really change much in terms of the actual match atmosphere or preparations. Maybe a few more people wearing black or a few more prayers on the speakers before the game.
