The article says that the hold up for the contract between IFF and Adidas has mainly been due to the cheetah print and issues with licensing it for sale in various countries.

Maybe them wearing plain tees means they are close to signing the contract.

The article doesn't have a lot of detail so who knows.

you really are underestimating the importance of quality. Remember when our jerseys last wc shrunk after being washed? That's a disgrace. I'd rather have a better quality jersey team than have some shitty Iranian brand make a more detailed design

The problem is when you have 2nd/3rd rate European brands still doing a shit job, you really expect domestic brands will do any better?

We had that shit show from uhsport at the last world cup with stickers and replica jerseys and then we had and still are dealing with the BS with Givova.

Iran wants to produce his own cars, planes, rockets etc. It should be easier to produce some decent quality jersey than plane.
If the producer is domestic, we won't see rift like the low number of jersey or else like 4 years ago. Don't forget puma shame during last euro and the famous switzerland jersey.

The problem is that international brands aren't interested by Iran (I guess it has to do with the copyright thing), so IFF is in a very bad position to negociate anything with them (design, $$, etc..).

IFF is the big problem design Choices are made by them. They got lucky one time with uhlsport. Whovever make that descision in IFF really do have a bad taste.
