I think it's definitely doable. They just need a draw or one goal at least. Like Zamboor said, the away goal could be vital for Rostov chances to qualify...

Honestly I thought they played decent against a much better and reputable opponent. A member earlier on in this thread made a comment saying this match was a replica of Argentina - Iran WC match, he in a way has a valid point, however the sole validity of his comment was the solid and organized defending of both Iran and Rostov against much stronger teams. The held on well the entire 90 minute. Both Argentina and Ajax barely created real scoring opportunities.

The only difference between the 2 case scenarios is that Rostov got lucky, while Iran lacked the luck factor at the end of the match.

Sorry for the lack of clarification but yes you are right, the only reason I said that was because of the organized defensive game Rostov played and the lack of possession we both had, otherwise we had much more deadly counter attacks and scoring opportunities. We at the very least deserved the tie that Rostov got today playing a similar game we played against Argentina.

rostov finally signed a player. Valeri yaroshenko, 19 year old attacking mid from zenit, better than nothing i guess. Hopefully with the 6 million euros from bastos sale to lazio, they can get it 2-3 more players. The squad is thread bare
