I kinda hope Rostov won't qualify for EL because otherwise the club's management will think twice before selling their key players like Azmoun or Poloz. It might serve as an excuse for Azmoun to stay there for another season too but hopefully he will be smart enough to refuse any contract extension ..

One thing I noticed is that he is less effective vs teams playing with 3 CB (3 5 2 or 5 3 2) .. That would partially explain why he was succesful in CL and EL this season but not so much in RPL where more than half the teams use 3 CB .. Notice how his goal scoring drough ended as soon as he played vs Rubin (one of the few teams in RPL playing more attacking football and using 4 2 3 1 formation) ? Anzhi used a similar formation today and he scored once again... Can't be a coincidence IMO but there are surely other reasons for his inconsistency too

For that reason I think he would fit very well into a top team like Benfica or Porto who play in an offensive minded Portugese NOS liga.
