Now we know why CQ pulled put of that match against Croatia. We would've lost that match by at least 3 goals which would've damaged the morale of our young squad. Loosing heavily against a team like Croatia is not the same as loosing against top named nations. Clearly Croatia is a dark horse at the Euro and a strong dark horse at this point. Sure we would've gained experience but the psychological damage would've been much greater. Another great move by CQ.

Iran can't even win the Asian Cup let alone qualify for Euros. We got beat bad by Sweden and Bosnia, both who are average teams by European standards.

Totally agree. Bosnia failed to qualify for such an average tournament where even Spain lose to second string Croatia team without Modric.

I really wish Iran was in UEFA. Not because we would rock it or anything, but because we'd probably get more European friendlies out of it. We'd probably fall in our rankings but it could improve our soccer a lot through out the years.
