Only hope is we get a debutant and they get too nervous and crash out and we take the third place spot

We're pot 2 now, so we will on paper be the "2nd" strongest in our group. With our luck we're getting Argentina, Spain, or UK again lol.

A random potential lineup as of today is:

        Argentina
        Iran
        Serbia
        Peru

which means we're cooked either way 100%

Listening to Football360 right now and feeling vindicated as they are trashing Sorkhabi fans for being at least partially responsible for their clubs current crisis.

Unrealistic expectations, emotional behaviour, putting unnecessary pressure, getting mad at managers because washed players like Yasin didn't get playing time, etc...

I'd rather we play against "hard" teams. We get incredibly arrogant before World Cups and think we should beat anyone who isn't a top 10 team just because.
On the other hand we have less belief against really "big" teams so we bunker down and work really hard.

Really we should be facing hard teams every year. I wish AFC format allowed us to face Australia/Japan/Saudi more often. Facing hard competitive opponents is better for us all around because coaches like GN and Skocic won't be able to stay and ruin our football for 2+ years by going on winning records against small teams like Syria and Kenya. Also conditions our players for more psychologically when its time to play tournament games on big stage

AFC unfortunately gave up on a Nations League tournament.

However those Asian teams are exactly the teams we either underestimate ourselves, or over estimate and f*** up.
But I get your point, if we play them more often, "tarsemoon mirize".

Yep, we won't be intimidated as much. Its also better exposure for our players. No one is watching Iran vs Kenya, but everyone is watching Iran vs Japan

In a league when 3 out of 4 target starting forwards in game are 34 years old, you can not expect much( Isa 34, Serdar 34, Ghorbani Gol gohar 34)
                    what a shitty game!

Gol Gohar falls apart in 2 minutes.

It takes time to adjust from EPL to watching PGL weekly. Much slower pace and decision making is quite poor even by Persepolis' experienced forwards

Solid win. We really need Amiri and Alishah and Urunov to be healthy.

Missed the game today, but I see that Salmani was taken off at half time. I assume he was shit again, right?

                            Less bad, more invisible.

He’s only bring played cause team has so many injuries and physical conditional will be very important for Al Nassr game.

League is a marathon , with 11 matches left
Being down 4pts , we are exactly where we want to be.
Key unfortunately is alishah . If he stays healthy
He will raise the trophy comes May.

Next leagur match in 2 weeks At Irak.

Big game tomorrow. Too many injuries.

Also I've read stories regarding the Al-Nasr game, all contradicting each other. Either they show up with their first squad and try to whip us badly - or they come in with their 2nd team and a bunch of domestics who want to impress the coach and play relaxed.

                                Either way dangerous for Persepolis.
