He played for Sepahan for 7 seasons. Last week he said he is a Sepahani for life. He could have said it to get the job next season but I believe him. 7 seasons is a long time.Originally posted by Keano View PostSo he used to play for Sepahan? I remember 5-6 years ago on TV he clearly said he deep inside is a Perspolis fan.

The best Team in the League did nor win the title..
Perspolis lost to the poor goalkeeping, poor Defence and so many Missed penalties..with Jesus in pp goal they had been Champs today without doubt
However the way they played today was not worth of winning anything..
They lost it against naft..a draw would have been enough..yet they played as if the needed a ein desperately..
Btw how poor and disgusting was the Rath Ahan Game today? On the verge of Relegation they grassrolled and parked the Bus..
And how did zob ahan Play? Was it an easy win for ahvaz or did they fight?

you have to give branko a looooot of credit for bringing this team from "Dead". who know with all the things they went through this season that they could come back and be contenders for the championship. Toooo much hashie around PP this season, with a poor start to the season and being in the bottom of the table, than Hadi Noroozi, than Sosha makhani etc..... it kept getting worse and worse but Branko kept this team together. Well done to PP and Branko.IRI = FAILED

PP deserves a lot of credit, lets be fair. They played some marvelous football this season. And they tied on points, its not like they lost the title due to lesser points.
Contrary to others, I don't think the D and goalkeeping was that bad for PP this season (although it could definitely use some tightening up and some depth).
To me, the biggest cause of PP losing the championship was the first 8 or so games of the season, where they were out-chancing their opponents 10 - 1 and failing to score goals. I won't even call it a sluggish start, since they were still playing great football. However the lack of killer instinct in those games cost them.
3 points is 3 points. whether it is in the early stage of the season or the late stage.

You cannot lack all of the above and suffer from all these deficiencies, yet expect your team to win the title.Originally posted by persiandream View PostPerspolis lost to the poor goalkeeping, poor Defence and so many Missed penalties..with Jesus in pp goal they had been Champs today without doubt
Playing super beautiful games, and scoring the highest goals in the league indeed did not reward us the trophy, simply because of all of the above insufficiencies you mentioned. When you have a below average goal tending, a terrible defense and miss so many important penalties throughout the season, then you've already lost several championship's elements.
Our midfield and offense was great, however defense and GK was our biggest shortcoming. Whoever denies that, just take a look at the table and notice we are amongst the top 5 teams of the league in terms of conceded goals.
If we improve our defense and goal, and keep the rest, I have no doubt next season is ours!

Wow never seen Yahya so pissed off. Anybody knows what was behind this? His dismal performance or a wrong move on the pitch? This clip is for those Perspolisi fans who resented Yahya for not caring much for this match!Originally posted by 04041374 View Post

In all fairness the 2 occasions cannot be compared to one another, Perspolis played beautifully this season, and climbed up from the bottom to the top, while Esteghlal maintained the top for the most part of the season, however choked in the last 5-6 weeks, the main reason we're appreciating our team, while Esteghlalis are resenting their coach and team is how they played and how unattractive football they displayed in pretty much all their matches, even most of their wins were quite boring footballing. Plus we were one of the top 2 contenders on the last day, while their team was almost definitely not.Originally posted by 04041374 View PostUnlike Esteghlal fans, who insulted Ghalenoei and threw stones towards him, Perspolis fans supported their own team after they lost the title. The difference is that GN was coaching Tractor Sazi and they insulted him because he didn't let Esteghlal win.Originally posted by Keano View Postwhile Esteghlalis are resenting their coach and team is how they played and how unattractive football they displayed in pretty much all their matches, even most of their wins were quite boring footballing.
