I think for most of the defenders you are right, but we do have good defenders. Hosseini Montazeri Sadeghi were all very good against hard opponents. But In general I agree we have way less good defenders when compared to our midfield and attackers

A Sunday League Defender from England/Germany/Spain is still better than any defenders the Iranian professional system can develop. If there is one thing I'm sure about in this universe is that Iranian raised defenders have the technical knowledge equal to that of a potato. Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing natural talent in Iran, but marking, Off the ball positioning, judgement simply does not exists in Iranian developed defenders.

Of cause bro! The chances playing for better clubs must be higher than playing for Iran since Sweden is placed in Europe and compete in European championship also! The benefit is also to be a European national for many clubs..Originally posted by KeonKish View PostIt's not like Sweden is some major world contender like Germany. they are a slightly above average European team.
With all that said, you can still play football in Iran and live a sweet life!
The question is, if you want to play in a professional level or Iranian level!

The only perks of choosing Sweden over Iran is being alongside Zlatan and I guess the shorter plane rides. Otherwise it's a waste of a career.

Okay! I understand if you chose to play for a better national side career wise!Originally posted by 04041374 View PostSafari

We do have people of that size. It's just usually that in countries with poverty these people go into construction and not sports. Omranzadeh for instance is 6'4", and physically is a beast. I can only imagine how good he could be if he wasn't playing in IPL his whole life.Originally posted by BacheLot View Postdamn he is 6'5"
they dont make em like that in iran..!!
he sure would be worth a look over by TM scouts..!!
we certainly could use some solid, young reinforcements in CB position too..!! especially a scoring type like Hossaini who's in twilight of his career..!

I don't know if you watch the English 4th division but they aren't bad at all. They aren't the Northern Irish team with 1/2 star teams in FIFA. If I'm honest I'd say it's in Europes top 50 leagues, maybe 40.
However I do agree Ryan Tafazolli should go to a Championship or League 1 team before he can be properly considered. But his ability level is way above his teams and league. He's good enough for a championship team imo
