I do too but some of their fans are some of the most butthurt fans in the world. They've been posting on BigSoccer Asia Section since couple years that they want revenge on Iran looool. And they think just because they won in Azadi, it will happen again. Recently, they've been critizing our euro based players like Azmoun even last night. Can't wait for Iran to play them as they have improved under CQ.Originally posted by Keano View PostI wish Iran and Uzbekistan from this group would qualify to WC. Nothing against S. Korea, I know they're a great team, but I wanna see a different team taking their spot for the next WC.
I believe their chances don't look too good this time knowing how inconsistent Uzbekistan team is and their current coach is like how Ali Daei was when he coached TM. So they should worry about China, Qatar, and Syria because those teams are no pushovers. (I'm predicting China to get the 3rd spot)
PS: remember guys when they let Qatar score first and then Qatar opened their legs for them for Uzbek to qualify if Iran had drawn Korea. Pretty disgusting agreed to do match staging with arabs. Even if it's not proven since AFC is corrupt af...the video below explains it all.

I couldn't find the thread for the Uzb on Big Soccer. Can you give me the link?Originally posted by Farhad-7 View PostI do too but some of their fans are some of the most butthurt fans in the world. But aren't football fans pretty much all like that? Talking smack and always the urge for revenge etc. our own people are calling for revenge on an at best mediocre team like Iraq, just because we post to them last year, while under normal circumstances on any given day we would beat their team.Originally posted by Farhad-7 View PostI do too but some of their fans are some of the most butthurt fans in the world. We also ridicule Australia and Japan for having so much more Europe legionnaires than that of ours.
I used to be active on BigSoccer, and I can tell you that in that website all members of all nationalities and cocky, very often engaging in trash talking with one another, cussing each other's clubs and national teams.

Maths
Hi there,
Are there any mathematicians among us? What was the probability of getting the same group?
I figured it out this way,
Each pot was independent of each other. So each time there was 50% probability of getting one team or another. We'll exclude China and Syria, since there was no Lebanon and there was a 6th place available, so we'd get extra 2 new teams anyways. So there was only one favorable outcome, 4 teams being selected in one group in a row, that is, Iran, Korea Republic, Uzbekistan and Qatar. Saying if we have 50% in each case then the overall probability of coming 4 teams together should also result in a 50% probability is incorrect. Because logically there is only one favorable outcome while there are many unfavorable outcomes. Each team could not be picked up. If we want to get 4 times heads, we just multiply the probabilities IMHO.
0.5x0.5x0.5x0.5=0.0625 or 6.25% (that is very low)
Iran / Australia
Korea / Japan
Uzbekistan / Saudi Arabia
China / UAE
Qatar / Iraq
Syria / Thailand
p.s. I could be wrong, this is just how I understood. Just imagine we're lucky to meet each other again.

"Qatar Stars League to start on Sept 15
May 15, 2016
Doha: The 2016-17 season of Qatar Stars League (QSL) will kick off on September 15 as the clubs would not like it to start on August 4, Qatar Football Association announced during a meeting on Thursday.
The date was deemed most convenient for clubs with a launch in August thought to be unfeasible due to the soaring heat at that time. The start date also allows time for the national team to prepare for the first two games in the final stage of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers away against Iran on September 1 and at home against Uzbekistan on September 6.
However, Qatar coach Jose Carreno had said he wanted the Qatar Stars League (QSL) to start in August this year so that his players could get enough time to settle down ahead of the match against Iran."

I really think we have one of the strongest TM teams of all time, there is so much more strength in depth now then there was in the 2014 world cup qualifcation campaign, we have one of the inform strikers in Asia in Sardar Azmoun, a strong and youth full looking defense with PAG and Milmo, a replacement for Nekounam and some attacking flare in Alireza and a backup striker thats one of the inform strikers in the Greek league. I cant remember the last time TM was so strong, probably the 2004 Asisan cup. I have a feeling we will trounce qatar in the opening game. The away fixtures will all be tough, really glad we avoided Thailand, i can easily see Thailand away being a tricky fixture, their stadium is allianating as fuck. I still think Korea have the best starting 11, we complain about our players playing in qatar and poor quality leagues, but their entire back four plays in the Chinese super league. They have alot of premier league estabilished palyers in their squad , China could hurt teams but the reality is the quality of their footballers are poor, their teams are carried by foreign players and i really think the investment in chinese football is actually more damaging than helpful. Uzbekistan will hurt every team in the group, but i think they lack the strength in depth to really do damage to teams away from home. we will see, still really happy about this team, as long as azmoun stays fit we will do really well. Please watch and Subscribe:

i really dont think we will drop points against qatar this time round, we have improved drastically, i think they would do damage to our 2010 and 2014 qualifcation sides but not this one.Originally posted by aenima_8 View Post"Qatar Stars League to start on Sept 15
