All three are quite different players with different strengths, Bakhtiar and Rafiei made their breakthrough at a younger age. I would say that both are indeed better than Shojaeian, they are more complete players but not "miles better".Originally posted by Doctor DOOM View PostWelllllll, he's ok ... i guess. But he's nowhere near Rafeie or Rahmani. Miles behind these two
Rafiei isn't a true CAM although he can play there, I have more hopes for Bakhtiar in that position as his vision and passing is better. Shojaeian's vision is almost as good, his passing arguably is even slightly better than Rahmani's but Bakhtiar is more effective and efficient. Competition is going to be tough for that position and I think that once both Soroosh and Bakhtiar will be done with their sarbazis we most likely won't see Masoud Shojaei anymore in TM

Bakhtiar Rahmani will finish his sarbazi right after the end of this season. So he will be available for next round, but Soroush Rafiei has one more year to complete his sarbazi.

This is his first IPL season. He has been a 3rd division player until he signed with Gostaresh Foolad in summer.Originally posted by Kiarash View PostLooks like a technical player. I havent heard of him before, how comes he is already 23 and not discovered by TM scouts? And how big are the chances of him moving to Europe?
If he plays regularly in Team Melli, his chances to join an European team are certainly higher. However, he has already featured in friendlies against Hannover 96, Eskisehirspor or ATA (Romanian runner-up).

He seems pretty good BUT i like to see if he can pull any of this against top Asian teams or other European teams. He probably wont get away with all those nutmegs against quality players. So its really hard to judge Iranian players based on their IPL performances. Good news about him is it seems he has a good game IQ

No one said that his dribbling is close to Masoud or Karimi, he isn't even among the best dribblers in the league. His overall technical ability however is top class. Those "weird moves without touching the ball" can be said for basically any of the players in the world including most of Neymar's, Douglas Costa's and co moves. It's still skill and most players aren't able to perform them in a match situation.Originally posted by Babak agha View PostWell judging from this video alone, his dribbling is nothing special and no way near masoud's, let alone Karimi's.
I also didn't see any trick moves, mostly weird moves without touching the ball, then tapping the ball between the legs of a defender (his speciality I guess).
The only players I ever saw pulling these kinds of skills regularly in the IPL in my time are AK8, Masoud and Shojaeian. Anyways technique is just one of his biggest strengths among others, his playmaking and passing are also great

100% agree. Can you imagine him trying this against a World Cup squad and getting caught with a steal and quality counter attack. This is IPL stuff, but it likely won't serve him well in higher competition, as his dribbling style puts too much space between himself and the ball.Originally posted by EKBATAN View PostHe seems pretty good BUT i like to see if he can pull any of this against top Asian teams or other European teams. Or... Gostaresh could as usual play its feeder club role and gift him to Tractor Sazi next season.Originally posted by 04041374 View PostThis is his first IPL season. He has been a 3rd division player until he signed with Gostaresh Foolad in summer.

Hopefully Europe is his next destination, we'll see...
