Azmoun: Playing for Real Madrid not impossible

You have probably read the article posted on pfdc news page. What do you think about it?

To me Azmoun is one of our best forwader BUT:
    Only playing in Russian league
Only scored 5 goals since the start of the Russian league
Had opportunity to move in big club in Europe but just skipped it

My conclusion would be that Azmoun has a big potential but in compare with Jahanbakhsh he fails in turning opportunity in success. Remember he could play for Arsenal and other top clubs.
I am thinking he is just dreaming when he says that he could play for Real Madrid and I feel sad he has not realized he has to move his ××× now.

He has a winning attitude. Attitude and hard work is like 98% of it.

Do you think staying in Russian league is hard working?
To me attitude is about facts and real decisions not wishes or hope.

The interview is mistranslated. In the original interview he clearly says that Iranian players have the potential to play in teams like Real Madrid. Doesn't talk about himself at all!!

none of our players will make the top leagues unless they do really well consistently. For a team like Arsenal or even lets say Espanyol of spain to pick you up, he needs to be scoring 15+ goals and bunch of assists. You really have to be outstanding to get picked by the top 4 league teams.

Iranian players are more concerned about selfies and imitating Bieber than playing football. Even the good ones will never end up in a team bigger than espanyol or w/e. Best legionnaire we've ever had was Mahdavikia and he achieved far less than the likes of Park Ji Sung and Kagawa. How many trophies did Mehdi even win with Hamburg? Like 2?

Karimi, Daei and Hashemian won the two titles with Bayern Munich as well. Ando became EL runners up with Fulham. But it's wrong to judge our players by club achievements. Mahdavikia had a lot of individual achievements and this is what matters. Many Iranians don't know, that Mahdavikia is one of the most popular HSV players of all time.

Poll on Hamburg's most popular player: http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/hs...7746.bild.html

                  Mahdavikia's individual achievements:
                  - Asian Young Player of the Year 1997
                  - Asian Player of the Year 2003
                  - Best offensive winger of Bundesliga 2003
                  - Hamburg player of the season 2003, 2004
                  - Selected in the best Hamburg 11 of the century

He was the best player for Fulham in the season going into the World Cup. It was his choice to go to Qatar

Not quite true, his last season in Fulham was fantastic but he sold his soul to Qatar afterwards.

I don't say they are more important, but Mahdavikia is considered as one of the all-time best players of Hamburg and he played there during Hamburg's golden era, when Hamburg was one of Germany's better teams and played in the UCL on regular basis. As already mentioned, he was selected as the best winger of Bundesliga in 2003 and Hamburg's best player in two consecutive seasons.
On the other side, we have had Hashemian who won the double with Bayern Munich after being one of the best goalscoreres in Bochum, but unfortunately he goes down as one of Bayern's worst transfers due to lack of playing time. He then did better in Hannover.
Karimi also won the double, but his Euro career ended very quickly.

Ando's Fulham made it to the final of EL 2010 and almost won the game against Atletico, but he didn't get any playing time. If he got some playing time, this would have gotten some attention. While Dejagah's Fulham relegated, he was voted as their best player. Despite NEC's relegation, Jahanbakhsh got selected as 2nd best talent of the Netherlands. Despite Braunschweig's relegation, Davari had a couple of very good games and got praised by a coach such as Jürgen Klopp. These are things, that remains in the minds of media and fans.

I don't remind well but Mahdavikia only played Champions league twice with HSV (the one year when he played the Zidane juventus, Panathinakos and the other Arsenal). it is not regular basis. Unfortunately this players isn't known except german fans and few foreign football specialists.
