Winning WCQ games usually gives you more ranking points in comparison to friendlies I think.

Saudi is doing well becausr their results from 4 yrs ago are being dropped.

According to the FIFA ranking calculator Australia will have 601 points, if they win both matches and will surely be ahead of Japan (max. 577 points) and Korea (max. 596 points), even if both win their games. Saudi could even become 2nd Asian team with 631 points if they win both games.

1st and 3rd option is the best one. Honestly this WCQ is going to be difficult either way. Last time it was a bit easier cause Saudi didn't qualify from their group.
