Agree - Playing the young and inexperienced Bagheri as left back in the first match against South Korea did not help.
The other player that was a big dissapointment was Modir Rousta, top scorer in the first round. I still remember against Iraq Daei provided a cross that strikers only dream of, he only needed to tap in the ball but he some how did not connect with the ball!
At the end of the day many people including myself blame Gholampour for the worst performance by a goalkeeper in our football history.

I used to have an acquaintance in California who was from Saudi Arabia, sometime around World Cup 2002. He said a friend of his played for their national team back in 1990s and the guy was 6' 2" but looked short when on the pitch next to Mehdi Fonoonizadeh. Always mentioned two long distance away rockets Fonoonizadeh had scored on Saudi Arabia. We often used to joke that one should have been the goalkeeper to get a first-hand feeling for the speed of the incoming ball.

Thats the irony...Gholampour had good performance prior to and after the Doha qualifiers...but just watching the goals conceded in the final round of qualifiers in Doha is unfathomable!
