It must have been super awkward for Kaffashian sitting next to Assadi to watch the game lol.

Carlos also wore a tie against Sweden in what was supposed to be one of his few final games in charge.

Also average 2.0 for Haghighi is harsh. Yes, he messed up on the goal in this game and last game but understand that they guy was doing nothing for 90 minutes and all of the sudden there is one chance that he lost his concentration on. It is really hard to in the game when you are practically standing and watching the game.
My rating for both of them was actually below the average bro!!!

And in the past few matches I've noticed I'm also below the PFDC average for both Amiri and Torabi. I can't really speak for how others come up with their ratings, but I do mine based on effectiveness in the overall play and I adjust down based on several factors like silly fouls or yellow cards, missed chances, bad plays, etc. I also adjust up on goals, assists or brilliant plays.

Dejagah ran a lot yes, but as a CAM in this match, he had two jobs and two jobs only: to score or to distribute the ball to someone to score (i.e. create an assist in open play). He didn't do either and the fact that he missed his chances and didn't provide open play assists reduced his overall "effectiveness". I may be a little more forgiving if someone is having a bad day, but if it's a trend I include that in the rating - Dejagah has not scored an open play goal for Iran since 2013 and I believe he has only one open play assist in WCQ which is a terrible record for an attacking midfielder against teams like Guam, India and Turkmenistan.

It's pretty much the same thing for Haghighi. He's there for one purpose and one purpose only... to make saves. If he has one opportunity in every match to make a save and he can't make that save, then he might as well not be there. Don't quote me on this, but I think he pretty much has a 0.5 ratio of goals to dangerous shots on target since the Iraq match. That means out of every two shot on target that he should be saving, he has missed one!

As far as Amiri, I have been rating him low for several matches because he has not been an effective player at all, and I was pleasantly surprised that CQ finally saw that and subbed him out in this match. He runs a lot, but there isn't much dimension to his game lately. He looks a bit out of form physically, but really out of form mentally. Definitely not the same Amiri that finished the last season.

My feelings about Torabi are similar. He runs a lot, but often runs right at the defense with his head down - his running is a bit odd looking (unbalanced almost) and he does very little holding and distribution of the ball. Don't get me wrong though, he is a very technical and gifted player IMHO and can be a GREAT player going forward (at only 21), but he needs to be a little more calm and intelligent in his game. I took two points off just for that horrendous open net miss!

Ezi (MOTM) - two consecutive times in top 3
    PAG - Great game back
Ebrahimi - Steady rise in the ranks since the India match

    Worst 3 players:

Rezaei - expected low score considering his experience level
Dejagah - Has been in the bottom 5 since the India match
Haghighi - Lowest rating for two consecutive matches, hasn't got a passing grade since India match (5.3).

Unbelievable how a 19 year old is shining so young and on such a grand stage (World Cup qualifer).

Said two years ago: he will outshine Nekonaum - who I rate our greatest midfielder ever. So far, seems like a good prediction

We've been including player ratings from the community for the last few matches Khodam jaan, but it is very time consuming to scroll through pages of posts and average the numbers, so an automated solution would be GREAT.
