Carlos said on Navad that they know they have a problem in the LB department. He also said it is no longer in his hands, when military service is involved.
Sarbazi has separated Soroush Rafiei, Hossein Mahini, Ahmad Abdollahzadeh, and Mehrdad Pouladi from Team Melli.

I absolutely understand this military service has ruined so much of our football. But that doesn't mean CQ has to stop trying to get things right. Yes, he has his excuse. But where's his effort? He's not even trying to find one!!!

The Hajsafi experiment has failed. The whole world sees it. Try another player. Show some initiative. You're getting paid top dollar because we expect you to behave differently than a clueless vatani coach. Not for you to act exactly like one.

There are bound to be one or two LB's in the league. Hell, if there's absolutely no LB, then try RB. The duties are exactly the same. Only flank orientation is different. And we do have quite a few RB prospects who could be groomed as LB's .... even if temporarily.

But the chap isn't even trying anymore!!!

This line up is not actually bad at all, i like Rezaian as player, he can play in different position and overall has better ability in attack than Ghafouri, Ezatollahi experience a huge game but it is good for him and soon or later we need to find replacement for Ando and Javad, Omid Ebrahimi is short bridge replacement for one of two.

My main concern is Hajsafi at left back, by playing him in this position we kind of handicap both team and him, he is a great player as left winger but not left back. Overall decent and a bit conservative line up vs strong team which is normal.
My other concern is goalie, we should start using other options, Haghighi is not consistent.

The other issue is military service of some players which is giving coach and TM hard time to find a good mixture, we are missing guys like Pouladi, Soroush Rafaei and Bakhtiar who could help TM.

I think CQ is retarded with putting Haji Safi as LB again. If Honda is playing he will get embarrassed.

hajsafi at LB is a problem. getting scored on in the same way over and over is a problem.

it's very easy to blame CQ for this. but the truth is that sarbazi, a lack of talent in iran currently, and poor football fundamentals are to blame. if we had branko, daei, ghotbi etc at the helm right now, we'd be putting in the worst performances in TM history. unfortunately no one seems to understand this.

He knows Ehsan isn't an LB. Otherwise he wouldn't play him as LM in front of Pooladi in the World Cup.

He doesn't have a backup for LB. The best option in his opinion is Ehsan.

We have better LB in IPL. They are not like Pooladi but at least they are better than Hajsafi in LB.

Its a friendly so better experiment with the line-up in this game. I am ok with this lineup. Not too fussed about winning or losing in this game, lets give some future TM players chance to get some experience and start staking their claim for the spots.
