Friendly Game: Iran - Japan @ Azadi Stadium, Tehran; 13-10-2015
This match in some sense proved to all the smelly disgusting backward thinking mollah worshipping retards, that Carlos is THE man to take us to Russia 2018.
It had been a long time since we played a friendly with a lot of quality. A great performance by both teams, an exciting match to watch. A great experience for all the younger players.
Are you kidding me? Dejagah is the main player in TM for now and he has done alot for Iran.
No, I agree with him too! He's not the player he used to be! In this game and also against Oman, he made me frustrated most of the times. He holds the ball too long nowadays and only wants to dribble himself. Most of the times, not only he slows us down, he also often loses the ball! Today, every time he got the ball, I was afraid something bad would happen! and yes...80% of the times, it did too! I think it's time for him to be put on the bench!
watch the Japan goal is slow motion on Youtube.
Looks like Haghighi DID punch the ball but it deflected off Monatzeri's back and ended up in our net.
everyone says AZMOUN had a good game ... he missed 2 clear scoring chances tho ...
guys i didn't get to see all of the match. How was Saeed?
quiet well..! this was a tall order for him to replace Ando and he didnt choke under pressure and certainly played with much poise and strength well beyond his age..!!he seemed a lot bigger than i thought before too and was sporting a badass AliDaie cibil too which made him look older and more experienced footballer at first sight..!!
Omid also quietly had himself a fantastic game, his movement with or without the ball was first class and distributed the ball better than Dejagha who was suppose to handle that aspect of our game..!
I don't want to open a new thread but I did want to lament the ridiculous title of the editorial on the front page.
"Team Melli Fails to Defeat Japan on West Asian Soil for the First Time in 26"
True or not, it's a title that gives off a very negative connotation and is targeted at discrediting the team and the performance (even if the contents of the editorial says otherwise). This is not impartial news writing but rather the work of someone that has an agenda and wants to portray a very particular angle to the transpired events.
Yeah it has been 6 months since we played them. Lol are you testing me aziz?
No, not testing you. I just thought the friendly against Chile was a good display of performance by TM. It didn't feel like it was a long time ago, but six months is a long time to show another good display of performance.

Still, he shoulda stayed put, there were two defender closely marking the smaller Japanese attacker..! besides he didnt make good enough clearing contact with the ball either..!!
just one of those bad decision, brainfart moments mostly due to lack of match sharpness..! but overall still a semi- solid keeping display..!

Yeah it was a good display, I remember. What I mean is we need more of these matches.
Having known Arab and Japanese culture, I would rather play Japanese and even South Koreans.
By the way, Thailand is playing well in its group and Iraq might not make it to the second round. Thailand was playing Vietnam and winning by two goals at min. 80.
