Its obvious that Khakpour did not get the what Vingada got mainly becuase he didnt have the same experience and coaching license, irrespective of achievements, but now that he came home with the trophy, IFF needs to reward the effort and revise the contract to reflect such achievement, also Khakpour needs to go back, get his B or A license and shut the critics up.....Something few Iranians involved in Football do....

I absolutely hate the games most Iranian coaches play. Khakpoor knows he will choke as a coach in Olympics qualifiers. So he quits ahead of the competition not to tarnish his so perceived winning record after winning one tournament. No Guts. No Glory.

Khakpour is not my choice for Olympic team but i recall CQ friend before him, Vingada.

Since he could not enter Iran, they help to pay his tax and gave him a solid contract while he was not in Iran but UAE.

IFF ended up firing him after worst disaster for Olympic team, he was a failure for Omid team even with much stronger squad.

IFF refuse to pay khakpour 1/2 of what he paid Vingada. I can't recall for sure but vingada salary was $24,000.00 while base on a report Khakpour was getting $5,000.00 monthly.

Can't really blame the guy... he's working with the same stupid IFF that's frustrating CQ and on top if that he doesn't even have a contract or gets paid anything decent.

He has put his life and soul into it and he comes back home with a trophy, Kaffashian doesn't show up to the airport to even say thank you and the fans are like so what, that trophy is meaningless!

I mean, he wasn't our first choice for TM Omid, but what incentive does the guy have to stay, if he's expected to work for next-to-free and not even get any appreciation!

From what I read Khakpour has been working with hardly any pay. The reason is the IFF refused to pay them and they expected the same pay as the FAILED Vingada, who basically achieved ZERO.

This is why we refer to the sickening ajnabi parasti and inferiority complex of people when dealing with foreigners. Whether you believe in Khakpour's abilities and coaching or not, you have given him the responsibility of coaching your team. Immediately before him, you had paid a certain amount to another coach, who achieved NOTHING.
It is only fair that you pay the same to the coach who DID achieve something. But they refuse to!
    Why?
Zooreshoon faghat be khodi ha resideh.
Just like how they immediately fire Daei for losing at the WCQ's but say nothing when CQ loses too (but instead of a strong Saudi team, this time a 3rd rate Asian minnow).
Or fire GN after an Asia cup exit, but say nothing after CQ's elimination in quarterfinals

Some may try to deny it. But deep down they know ... ashamedly, it is true.
This blatant ajnabi parasti has to stop.

why do people find that hard to understand?!!

    Fair enough.
But by the same token, is it not fair to expect superior results than our usual coaches too? Like atvleast reaching the final of Asia cup, instead of getting eliminated in quarters.
Like doing better than the previous 3 points in the world cup, instead of being near the rock bottom rank with 1 point?

How come when it comes to the salary and fees, we bring in all the big names, the fame, the history and .... but when it comes to our rightful expectations, we suddenly lower it to the absolute MINIMUMS achieved by vatani coaches?

When you people do this, then you better expect criticism of every little thing he does.
You can't have all the rights and privileges but none of the responsibility

Some more details about the resignation. Before the tournament, Khakpour already decided to retire after the games and handed MK a packet, in which he declared his resignation. MK explained at the Tehran airport, that Khakpour wants to "defend the position of domestic coaches" with his resignation. It seems that the conflict between CQ and Mayeli Kohan and the U23 crew played a certain role and Khakpour got sacrificed for that.

It is not about Why CQ is getting that sort of money. it is about IFF policy and unwillingness to pay iranian coaches accordingly.
It is about IFF and allocation of resources.
