getting a pk is an assist. I remember at the beggining of last season or two seasons ago, Eden Hazard from chelsea kept getting pk's and they were counting them as assists, (before they gave him pk duty)

They don't count on credible websites. ESPN and other credible football sites don't count them and rightly so. An assist refers strictly to a pass (w/e body part) that leads to a goal and isn't interfered by a deflection or whatnot.

Look we can go about this all day but ESPN keeps very accurate stats and officially, penalties aren't recorded as assists. Goal.com and Livescore are the same way if you want other examples.

EDIT: I checked Eredivisie's official website too, they kept him at 4 assists as well. Still not convinced, go search up "Dutch League Assists" and look at all the top results. They've all kept him at 4. Sorry not sorry.
