Against the Uzbecs, my broad guess is that it will be a greatly experimental with a couple of senior and the rest made up youth. CQ never gives his hands away before an official game be it against Turkimanestan or Argentina.

He was a good passer with the ball and has a strong shot, he never really proved himself in TM though IMO and Carlos seemed to see something in him and gave a lot of chances. He should be happy he made the world cup squad that's a huge accomplishment and something that many dream of experiencing, regardless he and a few other players will slowly depart from TM as the younger players start to impress and take over.

Speaking of the defence of Team Melli, I would like to see Rezaeian be our fixed starter at Right Back.

I hope that Querioz looks towards other assets in the league who had a great season and helped their teams significantly.
3 players that I would recommend are:

1. Majid Heidari (Centre-back) from Esteghlal Khuzestan
2. Hadi Mohammadi (Centre-back/Right Back) from Zob Ahan
3. Khaled Shafiei (Defender) from Tractor Sazi

These 3 could easily be starting for Team Melli based on their season this year.

Having caps does not mean you can be leader. Neko had the character of a great leader inside and outside the pitch. Even Karimi with all his skills and popularity didn't have that character. Not even the great Mahdavi kia or Daei. Bagheri had it in him the leader spirit if he wanted to be a captain. I am not sure of Ando. He loses his temper very often.

It is temper and I can prove it with links. A very obvious example is his fight after the third goal against Naft when Tractor was 3-1 ahead. His red card ruined Tractor game plan.

I'm not convinced that a player like Ando can carry the responsibility of the captain armband and at the same time not compromise that trademark aggression in him!
