This would be a great move, and once he has a European team in his resume he will be able to move to a better team a lot easier than he would from Sepahan. Can't wait!!

when you think about it, If this transfer goes thru and something similar happens with Sharifi, this would be an excellent transfer window for Iranian players. JB went to third best team in Holland AZ, who are also confirmed in europa League now. Sardar moved away from the freakshow at Rubin and got to Rostov who are doing brilliantly, and starts. Sharifi could be in Rapid, an excelllent team in Europa league. Hajsafi, would finally have made it to europe, with a team where he is a guaranteed starter. Taha zaraei is playing very well in portugese second division. And Ezza , when all gets sorted out will have gone from playing against amateur teams, to a solid team in the top flight of Russia. All that could have been better would have been if mohammadi's transfer to Sturm Graz went thru, and if Berzay went to getafe. Even gucci came back to charlton and proved himself. And Karim managed to stay in Europe with a solid team in the greek first division.

Even Aria, went to a team that are favorites for promotion to la liga and is a starter, by far increasing his chance of getting to TM

Was thinking along the same lines. If this all goes through, pretty decent transfer window!

Also take note of how Esfahani fans cheer a player and respect the guy and show him love. Now just go to Azadi and listen to Tehrani fans. The years of verbal abuse Daei took was shameful!

^ source? Al Gharafa at least is one of the better teams there. Of course no comparison to La Liga.

                  booo...!!
at least he tried to go back to spain first..!! obviously there wasnt much interest and probably if any offer, it was an extreme Lowball offer..! hence he chose to go back to Gutter to make the mo$t of his career in it's twilight years..!!

doubt he will figures much in CQ's TM plans anymore ..! this could well be his last year in TM..!

Bad choice. At least this move will secure that Shojaei stays away from Team Melli for those who criticize him.

He most likely has been brought as a replacement for Australian international Mark Bresciano for their Asian foreign spot

                        Ouch.

Shojaei's club is actually irrelevant because he never performs the same way for his club team that he does for team melli. Even when playing in Spain and playing well it rarely meant that he would play well for team melli. In the last 2 years or so he has probably had 2 good games with team melli. He is too slow for our fast paced counter attacking team and we need a new CAM. It's about time CQ realized this. I wish him all the best, going to Qatar isn't a bad move right now for him he is getting older and should save up as much as he can and I personally hope someone else takes his spot in TM. My opinion is not personal, just based on years of frustrating performances.

^ not in the last 2 years mate....in his entire TM career he had 3 good games. And and of them he saved till I get my hairy ass to watch him live vs sweden.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.
