If this goal was scored by the German, Spanish, Argentinian etc. national team, all the sports papers would celebrate it massively.

I agree that was a superb goal from our TM, but let's not forget the best attack still belongs to the 3 touches by Bagheri, Daie and Azizi which resulted in the second goal against Australia. That was an unbelievable goal and will always be.

Agreed! My favorite as well and probably the all-time greatest TM goal!

Not just was the goal superb, it was the goal that got us in to the WC98 in a do or die match when everything looked like Australia was going to go through instead of us.

let's not hijack the thread! I can't think of any goal in our history that is even close to that one. The entire nation remembers that one and we all know EXACTLY what we were doing at the time! (Mom on the sofa, little brother pissed off refusing to continue to watch the game and shutting the door to his bedroom, men sitting in front of the tv ) anyways, we just had a great goal!!! let's not hijack it

I thought that was Shojaei too with the through pass to Gucci, but really hard to make who's who with such low quality streams.

I remember the morning of the game ...it was early for me too. My friend and I hocked up 2 different satellites but struggled to get the right channel. By the time we succeeded it was second half and the score was not so happy 2-0. It was stressful to watch but then the goals, all in span of 3 minutes .. what a joyful moments. The long 8 min of added time. But ... we did it .. one of the best moments I remember in my life.
