Looks like AQR is going to be inaugurated on 24 Esfand (in about one month)

AQR has been ready(ish), management has been waiting to inaugurate it with a TM match hence the delay... seems they have given up.

Unfortunately the IFF is infatuated with all TM games being played at Azadi. They should at least play a TM friendly there to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Issue with our beloved country is that they don't have the infrastructure anywhere else other than Tehran. They don't have the capability of hosting a TM match in another city based on the fact that they will need to provide hotel/housing for the visiting team, training grounds for the visiting team, logistics to get them around etc. Not saying other cities don't have the capability of hosting them, the governing body, being IFF in this conversation, doesn't have the capability. It is so very sad.

Persepolis is turning a page in its history. Finally we are becoming a well run and professional team. Good facilities, and also the board has invested a lot of money this year into the youth set up. I believe we have qualified coaches now and the whole "pay to play" system has been abolished. Persepolis with its supporters, history and pedigree, should be internationally reknown. We have taken the right first steps. Eventually it would be a dream if they upgraded Shahid Kazemi to 40 or 50,000 (which is doable looking at the structure of the stadium), and played there, with a training facility nearby.

For now we dream.... but you never know

u dont risk playing a do or die game in new city and new stadium.
