Is Prince Ali a genuine candiate for head of Fifa?
To be honest with all you guys I don't think Prince Ali is not such a bad contender for the role of FIFA despite the fact his an Arab, after reading this article by Scott McIntyre the Asian Cup reporter guy. I know there has been some discussion on PFDC the candidates for the FIFA presidency but I wanted to create a separate thread for Prince Ali, as he could possibly win the role as he seems to have a lot of support of federations in Europe and all over the world, but ironically he does not have the support of AFC. But we can't be sure of his clear intentions and how his role as President of FIFA, could possibly affect Team Melli and Iranian football in general.
He seems to be a quite an interesting candidate and you guys should definitely read the article below.

I don't agree with everything Scott says, like he said prior to the Asian Cup that he thought Qatar and like UAE were the best teams in Iran's Asian Cup group. But still lot of things he says he says are quite genuine and I admire a lot of his interviews and articles. He also knows his facts properly and I also remember he did some really good interviews with Carlos Quieroz and some of the Iran squad just before the Asian Cup.Originally posted by rugs View Post
To note there have been a lot of great performances in the Asian Cup in the last 10 years, Ali Karimi may have been one of them but Scott might not probably remember all those great Asian Cup performances. Iran found it hard playing the whole game with UAE, who kept procession but thank god we could find the net just in time and not end up versing Japan if we had a draw and also Omar was one of the standout players in the whole tournament.
Do you guys think Prince Ali should at least get a try ? Remember he could possibly get presidency as he does have the support of continental federations such as UEFA and we SHOULD think in those circumstances ?Comment

Blatter has all the african votes in his pocket after awarding the WC to South Africa in 2010.
Blatter is very smart and has the support of many smaller nations, just enough votes to make him re-elected again.
Not that i like him, but i cant see anyone being a real challenger. And certainly not an Arab.

Is it possible that every Arab is born with the mentality of hating Iran? Like I said, Prince Ali is not even being supported by his own "Arab Football Confederation"? He has the chance to upset Blatter due to all the FIFA corruption in the past, like with the Qatar 2022 WC bid and also Prince Ali also has the support. UEFA already said its definitely not going to vote for Blatter but AFC and CAF have the support Blatter needs.
