UAE to host Asian Cup 2019?

I wish hosting an Asian Cup in Iran was possible. Unfortunately, with this current state of our country it should not even be considered. We don't have the basic instruments for hosting a tournament, let alone make it successful.
No HD-broadcasting, women are not allowed in the stadium, the stadiums are not modernized, infrastructure is subpar and we don't have the people who can properly organize all this. Our own federation barely knows how to write an English formal letter. This will not get fixed in only 4 years of time, obviously.
Rather give it to UAE till we sort our own things out. Maybe after the Asian Cup 2019.

FIFA gave it to Qatar with has a lot human right issues, etc... and justify it as a tool to pressure the country to enhance. Idem for CIO with Russia and china with the olympics.Originally posted by Kiarash View PostI wish hosting an Asian Cup in Iran was possible. It could be the same with Iran, Asian cup could be a tool to pressure them to lift women forbidden (even if I think foreign women can go to the stadium) and so. they could give it to iran and if no progress giving it to an other country (see african nation cup this year) at the last moment.
After we all know $$$ speak

That's a good reason. But the human rights situation in Iran is by far worse than in Qatar or UAE. Also the poverty in the rural areas is getting bigger and bigger, personally I think we should invest our money in the people of Iran. But this will not happen since we all know I.R. Just wishful thinking thoughOriginally posted by PSGman#19 View PostFIFA gave it to Qatar with has a lot human right issues, etc... and justify it as a tool to pressure the country to enhance. This will not benefit the people. Go to Iran, and see how big the mess is. Do we really need to host a tournament? Let's focus on other things which do have a bigger benefit for all the people. Just my cents on this.Originally posted by jahandoost View PostI get the argument that UAE is better based on their infrastructure but to say lets give it to them is....ridiculous.
Because if we do get the tournament (however unlikely it may be), it would fast-forward our infrastructure by 20 years.

your right, but if you are familiar with irans situation, you would know that the money "saved" from not having to spend on possible AC stadiums would also not be spent back into peoples lives, it will just fill up a certain minorities pockets. Hence why id rather we succeed in our bid.Originally posted by Kiarash View PostThis will not benefit the people. Go to Iran, and see how big the mess is. Do we really need to host a tournament? Our government didn't support our national team to go to the world cup, what makes you think they will invest any money into our infrsutructure? If they wanted to, they would have already. The problem with some Iranian mentality is that they'd like to see a return on their investment immediately. Asian Cup is not going to bring much business to the country as people might think.Originally posted by jahandoost View PostI get the argument that UAE is better based on their infrastructure but to say lets give it to them is....ridiculous.

South Africa lost billions of dollar hosting the world cup. Fifa was the one that made serious money.

Honestly when I was in Brazil, most of the cities looked far worse than Iran. Poverty in brazil is so extreme and I was thinking to myself if they can host the world cup why can't we. Their airports were terrible, public transportation is so dangerous.Originally posted by Kiarash View PostThat's a good reason. Hopefully once the sanctions are over we should accept major credit cards everywhere, allow women in stadiums, spend a million dollar in each stadium on broadcasting camera and finish the stadiums that are unfinished and then we should be able to host Asian Cup

to be honest, stadium of newcastle or canberra was also nothing special, even sydney and other were not football stadiums at all, ranks where not right behind the goal, there was still a distance, so i don't accept stadium situation, they don't look like european or even australian stadium but with a Rang o Ruh they will be still okay for Asia...
and to be honest, i am not really sure if Iranians will fill a match between UAE and Jordan or Uzbekistan and North Korea. These are nations from this year Top-16. in 2019 we will have also Teams like Thailand, Syria, Indonesia and similar. Only Afghanistan can make a big impact probably
World Cup 2006, Frankfurt, Iran vs. Portugal, Iranian Frontpage of GOAL Sportspaper

And on the 8.Day God created Ali Karimi, and he saw he was good!
If Defenders were allowed to use their hands to stop Karimi -
