This referee discussion is just annoying as fuck. Yes we get it the ref made a mistake - but does that mean we have a free pass to play shit football and still expect to win a match? There's been countless examples of 10 men rising above themselves and winning matches vs 11 but with our shit tactics on relying on set pieces to win games 1-0 - what do you expect?

the only thing annoying as fuck is your understanding or better said non- understanding of modern football. minutes after such a game opening a thread and asking to kick out CQ-ridiculous. did you watch the whole game? we were playing them against the wall with 11men and scored after 24min everything was going fine. and even after that fuckref intervened and played God we owned the iraqis with 10 men. come on some sense for tactics would do you just fine. its not the 70 s when Netzer or Maradona can walk through 8men and score. we did our very best other teams get screwed with 6 goals playing 80minutes one men down.

I think we're all a little emotional by what has unfolded today. It was unlucky and somewhat cruel events that shaped the match. There is no point blaming the referee, players or even the coach, we lost out in a game of chance.

Spare a thought for our Japanese counterparts who have just lost to UAE, also in a penalty-shootout.

We have just found out that the beautiful game has its ugly side as well.

In these tough times, I hope every TM fans can get some sleep tonight.

Sorry bro, but we have the right to be pissed. We didn't play poorly. We didn't miss a bunch of our chances and just wind up the losers. We had our pants taken down, were bent over and raped by a single man. He handicapped us for no reason at the beginning of the game, and it hurts. We want to know why, and also, why he didn't remedy it and double yellow that long-haired center back on Iraq when he tackled Amiri on a break-away.

He could have remedied it by making it a fair 10 v. 10 match, but he was a piece of shit. So fuck him. Hope he gets so much hate over the next few days that he retires and moves to Thailand to become a transvestite prostitute.

Seriously, I wish that this guy can feel the sadness and pain of 75 million Iranians. He deserves it for the rest of his life and I hope he can't sleep for a long time after what he did.

Hey man, just so you know, Ghotbi and Ghalenoie and Daei never had to face being a man down for 90 full minutes and actually came back, TWICE in one game.

We would have won the game had it not been for that bs refereeing. Daei lost to Saudis, Ghotbi was nothing against Koreans, while CQ has beaten them 3 times in a row. You can call it luck, but the fact that CQ could keep us lucky for so long makes him a damn horseshoe or 4-leaf clover.

We should have won tonight, and the only reason I am not overly upset is that we really played well despite it all. 3 goals isn't luck, especially when 2 are from set pieces.

We were fucked tonight by Ben Williams, not Carlos Queiroz.
