I made an account to read about Iranian football and any positive news about it, not read about a bunch of whiners who refuse to see sense. Believe it or not, there are Iranians out there like myself that are logical and reasonable.

EDIT: Since I half expect the admins to ban me solely for having an unpopular opinion, I'm hoping they'd at least have a word with me IF I did do something wrong. I don't see how blaming Pouladi (just because no one else wants to) should result in this so at least PM me first.

A ref should card a player that lightly pushes? Mate please stick to the Azadegan or gol koochik league that you watch. I'm actually a ref myself, az khodet harfeh moft dar nayur. You don't give a yellow for that by any means. Proper procedure would have been for Ben Williams to have a word with the keeper and then consider booking him if he did it again (depending on the circumstance. Anyways it was more of a shove than a push. You see this in every EPL and UCL game) and I know Pouladi didn't touch him, his fault was diving as if a nuclear missile hit his face.
And I know Williams was an idiot to an extent, but Pouladi was more at fault for very obvious reasons.

The Iranian player got a red for the same kind of push, but Ben Williams didn't even give a yellow to the goalkeeper, instead he gave one to the guy that got pushed, Pooladi, which is just ridiculous.

Show me a video of it because I don't know. If the push was light and he didn't make any other fouls prior to it (in which case the caution would be for persistent infringement), then it would be an incorrect caution.

That's just extremely shit officiating, never should have been a foul even. Then again, this was back in 2003 before diving really became popular. Refs are far more watchful for these simulations.

I don't think the mods will ban you for having a differing opinion. I think that the way your going about it is unnecessary. Believe me, I know from experience. Your opinion is your opinion. I was upset from the behavior of certain members, but I was not correct to react the way I did. Nobody here is really badgering you. Some may be inclined to agree with your opinion, but you acting so high and mighty makes you seem like your opinion is wrong. There are no right or wrong opinions. Part of it was on Pouladi's shoulders, but you cannot discount the ineptitude of a referee who forgets who he has carded. Most referees would not make such a handicapping decision so early in an important game, but some might. Williams not remembering he had carded Pouladi was an issue, and he probably wouldn't have given the yellow in the 40th minute after an early soft yellow if he remembered it was the second yellow.

But Pouladi shouldn't have simulated as he did. There were many mistakes made that day, and although we were the better team in terms of quality, we were not meant to win that game. It is in the past now, so we should move on. We all know that 11 Iranian players will beat 11 Iraqi players every day of the week. Please though, everyone on PFDC, stop pretending your opinions on football are fact. That's why there are so many problems on this forum. When people think so highly of their opinions that they find a need to act like they are the king of PFDC, we have problems. I recommend you move on from this convo now TheWheels as it is an old argument with no clear answer. We know your opinion on the subject. You know that people disagree, so nothing more to argue about. You have a right to your opinion.
