You guys forgot the scenario of both Iraq and Jordan beating Japan
in which case it doesn't matter at all if we play 1st or 2nd in the group!
We can rest our A team in the next game and then rest them again in the quarters against Jordan/Iraq and the semis against S. Korea, so they're all fresh for the final against Australia!

Japan vs. Iraq [AFC Asian Cup 2015] - Date, Time, & Live Updates
Good game for us to observe. Either one of these teams will be our quater final oponents.
I've said this before. I want TM to vs Japan. But then again it would mean no Australia match up in the semis. So on second thought I'd rather we play Iraq, then Australia.
That Australia match would be sold out, no doubt. I think it would be in Sydney if it were to happen.
There is a couple of good things for that match.
-it will be in Sydney (largest Iranian contingent)
-biggest stadium of AC2015 (84k seats)
-it'll be Australia Day (lots of pride at stake for the Aussies)
-Australians want revenge for 1997
- Javad Nekounam would surpass Ali Daei's appearance for TM record
-It will be a national public holiday.
-there will be fireworks in Sydney at midnight do to Australia Day (hopefully for a TM win😀
-Ange(Australia coach) showed his players the Iran v Australia game of 1997 to fire them up for this Asian Cup

Probably the best atmosphere anyone will experience in football if the clash were to happen. Iran should avoid it at all cost but for the fans it would be the game of the cup.Originally posted by littlepersia17 View PostGood game for us to observe. Show me where he has led Iran to victory against a superior opponent? Ever?Originally posted by BacheLot View PostJapan & Iran are gonna win their next respective matches
Iraq & then SK will be a relatively manageable route to Final for TM
Aussies & Japan are the clear top 2 sides & I rather face them in the final where I have faith CQ will devise a decent game plan to beat them.

Anything is possible in football, however it is very unlikely that Japan will lose this game. Think it will be 2-0 Japan--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------
--Moharrami----Hosseini--Kanaani----Amiri--
------------------Ezatolahi-----Ebrahimi--------------
--Jahanbaksh---------Ghoddos------------Taremi--
---------------------------Azmoun----------------------
