What separated Bahrain for me from all the other ME/Arab teams in this tournament is their physical play and hard pressing. They've been head and shoulder above the others.

Our group is generally harder than our first knockout stage, the goal is to finish first and then semis are more or less guaranteed.

Totally agree. It didn't look that way before the start of the tournament, but now that we've seen everyone play, both Bahrain and UAE have been head and shoulder above the other ME/Arab teams - Bahrain for the reasons I mentioned and UAE with 3 very skillful players IMHO.

Any Arab team that plays Iran usually becomes Brazil, so we shouldn't get too cocky. I believe in our boys, but we should NOT underestimate any of these teams. They are shit against themselves and the other top Asian teams, but against Iran, they get super-powers.

I root for Iraq over any arab team.
They play like men with gheyrat!

But one of the worst games in a long time!
A lot of fouls and bekesh ziresh style, but NOT exactly a defensive play. Kinda like PGL games!

TM plays with 11 men behind the ball in defense and very compact, them goes offensive when in possession.
these guys prefer long balls and direct football with not much possession in midfield.
