Guys I am honestly so apprehensive about potential for Arab collusion against TM. Some people may think I am overreacting but there has been cases of it against us in the past.
The 4-1 win for UAE really bothers me. The last goal the Qatari defenders didn't even bother defending. It seriously looked like they wanted UAE to score another goal. I can totally see more collusion and a deliberately big win for UAE against Bahrain. I know at the end of the day if we handle our business and win all 3 matches no amount of Arab collusion can hurt our chances in the knockout stage but I really don't want to face Japan in the QFs simply because of Arab collusion.

Bahrain will sell out to make sure Iran does not become first if it comes down to goal difference. But we need to deal with them anyways. 3 straight wins and they can't do us jack.Originally posted by Persian-Pride87 View PostGuys I am honestly so apprehensive about potential for Arab collusion against TM. -great fan support
-best players for me where dejagah, masoud, ghafouri and hajsafi
-gucci was denied by the ref on a couple of close calls which to me did not look like offside
-haghighi played good when called upon he controlled his area well, i did not like him running over the bahraini player like that, last thing we need is a penalty for such a silly play.
-ghafouri was awesome, played as if he has 100 caps for tm, covered lots of ground, combined well with dejagah and masoud
-hajsafi was great as usual, he seems to attack much more when pouladi is playing, beautiful goal from him
-masoud was great, won us two corners just chasing the ball down, won many free kicks and bahrainis kept fouling him, showed flashes of brilliance and scored a goal, covered lots of ground and was everywhere. of course the hate continues..no one ever asks themselves why does masoud keep getting the nod over some other very fine players, somehow they think they know more.this sorush rafei nonsense is getting out of hand as well it is unfair to him as well to be compared to masoud. if we are going to go far in this tournament we are going to need masoud, ashkan, nekounam and gucci to carry us there. to me those are the players that can compete with anything japan and ausis have.

Perfectly said. Couldn't say it better myself. Don't even bother to spend my time on anti-Masoud posts anymore..Originally posted by hzv View Post-masoud was great, won us two corners just chasing the ball down, won many free kicks and bahrainis kept fouling him, showed flashes of brilliance and scored a goal, covered lots of ground and was everywhere. of course the hate continues..no one ever asks themselves why does masoud keep getting the nod over some other very fine players, somehow they think they know more.this sorush rafei nonsense is getting out of hand as well it is unfair to him as well to be compared to masoud. if we are going to go far in this tournament we are going to need masoud, ashkan, nekounam and gucci to carry us there. to me those are the players that can compete with anything japan and ausis have.

Its true we control our own fate but I just know we likely will have to win all 3 matches due to Arab collusion to avoid japan in the quarter finals

i would predict bahrain coming up with us, they seem to be more gardan koloft than qatar and u.a.e, i guess we will see in few days but i will be very surprised if u.a.e beats bahrain even though abdulrahman is a great player and probably one of the best arab players i ve seen in recent times.

I agree that Shojaei gets some unecessary hate, I was one of the first people here to during the game saying he is having a good game, but some people are doing the exact same thing, praising him for everything that happens, such as when he passed Dejagah, Dejagah dribbled in the penalty box vs Lebanon, was fouled, we got a penalty and Nekounam scored it, then some people were all like "that is Shojaei's assist". There are unfortunately very few objective members on this board. Masoud did good this game, but he had a few blunders too, like his clearance on the Bahraini corner which he headed backwards, his goal had a bit of luck in it too, very bad effort by the goalkeeper, but I don't like to take away credit from players when credit is due, so which is why I said good game by Masoud, but some folks post like rave about his performance like he scored a hattrick in el clasico. Lets try be reasonable, both when it comes to giving credit, and criticizing.Originally posted by hzv View Post-masoud was great, won us two corners just chasing the ball down, won many free kicks and bahrainis kept fouling him, showed flashes of brilliance and scored a goal, covered lots of ground and was everywhere. of course the hate continues..no one ever asks themselves why does masoud keep getting the nod over some other very fine players, somehow they think they know more.this sorush rafei nonsense is getting out of hand as well it is unfair to him as well to be compared to masoud. if we are going to go far in this tournament we are going to need masoud, ashkan, nekounam and gucci to carry us there. to me those are the players that can compete with anything japan and ausis have.

First of all shitty refereeing by this Aussie guy and his team. A few offside calls were actually NOT offside, where one foot by a bahraini was keeping our players onside, yet he whistled for offside and we got denied a goal.
the whole team was doing good in my opinion, some players better than others. Unfortunately the only player that really didn't do well was Pouladi. Maybe it's the lack of match-rhythm or it's his personal issues with the federation (military problems), but he really has to step up his game otherwise he should be benched. CQ can move Hajsafi back to LB and use JB instead of him.

No not all the offside goals was really offside. After one of the calls CQ stands up applaud for the players meaning he is mad at the australian ref WHO wnat us to be eleminated here before the final. Iran played
very carefull regarding the referee.
But I thought Bahrain was good too. Am I the only one here WHO see Bahrain stronger then the two others?
Finally I thought It would be good if Azmoun starts since we are sending so many high passes and Azmoun can handle it better than Gucci.
I really expect more than 3 goals against Qatar. I am now convinced we will reach semifinal at least
