rafiei was ok only. people hype him like crazy. He needs to calm down and play his game. We do not play beautiful football under CQ, but he gets us the results. Don't expect anything nice from Iran this AC from a neutral perspective. We will get the results i'm sure, but it will be ugly. i would have liked to see hajsafi play today as well, but w.e it doesnt matter anymore.
The positive players:
Azmoun (great fight in him)
ansarifard (he did fine guys, dont give him a bad wrap when he held the ball well and played some decent balls)
Rezaian (He was surprisingly great at RB)
Pouraligangi (solid on the ball)
Amiri (He was good. He hustled well and put his heart in the game. Damesh garm)
Beiranvand (Very solid)

I only saw the first 45, and during that time Ansarifard was useless on the left. Rezayan, Pouraliganji and Rafiei looked very good.

I also didn't watch the game live, watched the replay. After reading the comments before watching the game I had build an impression that iran's b team is ready to challenge the seniors but after watching the game I was disappointed. I don't think in the whole game we put a string of 5 passes going forward before a mistake crept in. The defence also was not in control and Iraqis breached the line many times, lots of sliding tackles by the defence that the Iraqis just jumped over, lots of long balls from the defence. I understand this was one of the early games by our younger players but they were in s Africa together and played there, so it's not like they have just come together. Of course the potential is there but let's not exaggerate the level of performance last night. We did not dominate Iraq as it was drawn up to be.Originally posted by The-Iron-Ghost View PostNo it had nothing to do with the misses, even though it was embarrassing. It was more his touches on the ball, the quality of his passes and making the right passes. Advantage of seeing the game live is you see the whole pitch and what is around him. Ebrahimi is strong but very poor on the ball, the quality of his passes were very poor and decisioning making again was poor, he needlessly gave the ball away too often. This being said the whole team didn't play too well against a poor side like Iraq, so i am not overly bothered by it.

I was very impressed with pouraliganji. very cool and composed on the ball, good qualities for a defender.
Young but still needs a few more games to give a fairer judgment of his qualities.

why was amiri poor? because of the 2 open nets he missed? it was his first TM game so thats expected. did you not see how many times he tracked back and intercepted balls? so many great passes and ran like crazy! give him time ! he will be beast in a few games. ebrahimi had both nekous and andos role! he was both the distributor and the pitbull! he saved so many attacks ! also connected the D line to the midfield line as good as any on on this team could have.

from what i hear, karar did not make the squad? the only important player that was missing was that left back that plays in a turkish league i think.Originally posted by Zamboor View PostKarrar wasn't playing. I don't really know about the rest. Also Ahmed Yasin didn't play from start now did he?

He is just talking bs trying to bring irans result down. Even iraqis said it was their A team. Maybe at most 1 or 2 important players on the bench.

Can you tell us which players did not play, that are from the A team?

Sorry the only newcomer I thought was worthy was the goalkeeper Beiranvand .... minus his haircut which looks like a French Hat from far! The other keeper Forouzan is far from being TM material.Originally posted by Kavian View PostNone of the new faces were really impressive. But lack of preparation was very obvious in the team. Now you can see how important it is to play friendlies even against second or third rated teams.
