Big lol at people who think we will win this. Based on what? Preparations? Players at top teams? We will be lucky to go through the group stage and will as usual lose in extra time or penalties in the next round!

Once we get past the first round, I actually like our chances against the bigger teams with the kind of counterattack style we used against Argentina. This is most likely how we'll go up against the likes of Japan, SK or Australia. Tight defense coupled with pressure to force a turnover and then quickly attack with short vertical passes. If we execute this plan anywhere close to how we did against Argentina we should win this whole thing. I'm actually more worried about the smaller Persian Gulf teams in the first round with their usual kesafat kari.

I agree... It's better to not have to face the adverse history and instead be able to focus on playing with a clear mind. This condition provided, Iran certainly has the ability to showcase a cohesive game against any opponent as the '14 match with Argentina proved. With fair refereeing, we should have tied Argentina.Originally posted by hzv View PostIran having to play Saudi or South Korea in semi-finals is not good as both teams usually eliminate us in big competitions.

Your predictions for the Asian Cup 2015
We definitely need two new young centerbacks and defensive midfielders as replacement for after the Asian Cup.Originally posted by GoIran View PostI'm a bit worrying that our CBs (Sadeghi+Hosseini) and DMs (Nekounam+Teymourian) are at least over 32 considering the heat in Australia. Our performance may decline in the knockout stage.
I really hope CQ starts looking abroad again. Plenty of interesting prospects. CQ certainly looks to IPL as we have seen in the previous TM squads, so now it's time to introduce a player from abroad who might be useful.

we need to change neko urgently, ando can still play cause he is defensive not attacking. we have few young players who will gain experience but ando can still play i even think he can be part of 2018 team and play but not the whole game. Neko i think for 2018 is over he is good but as a attacker he is not fast enough and cant come back fast enoughOriginally posted by Kiarash View PostWe definitely need two new young centerbacks and defensive midfielders as replacement for after the Asian Cup.
