How the AFC Club Ranking is determined:

1) The AFC Club Ranking will be based on the results of clubs participating in the last four years of the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup.

2) AFC Champions League points system

- Playoff stage: participation 1.5 points/win 1.5 points/draw (penalty shoot-outs) 0.5 points/lose 0 point

- Group stage: participation 3 points/win 3 points/draw 1 point/lose 0 point

- Knock-out stage: participation in R16 3 points/participation in QF, SF and Final 1

point/win 3 points/draw (penalty shoot-outs) 1 point/lose 0 point

3) AFC Cup points system

- Playoff stage: participation 1.5 points/win 1.5 points/draw (penalty shoot-outs) 0.5 points/lose 0 point

- Group stage: participation 3 points/win 3 points/draw 1 point/lose 0 point

- Knock-out stage: participation in R16 3 points/participation in quarter-final, semi-final and final 1 point/win 3 points/draw (penalty shoot-outs) 1 point/lose 0 point

- 1 AFC Cup point is equivalent to 1/3 of a AFC Champions League point

If they use this ranking to come up with the composition of the next AFC Champions League and unless PP and Foolad do really well this time around, it looks like we're going to lose one more direct qualification to the group stage at the expense of Saudi Arabia!

...Uzbekistan is going to lose 2 at the expense of Kuwait and Iraq, and Qatar is going to gain one at the expense of UAE. Based on this year's competition, there are 12 direct qualification spots for the group stage, so it would be broken down as such:

Saudi Arabia 4
Iran 2
Qatar 2
UAE 1
Uzbekistan 1
Kuwait 1
Iraq 1

And the 5 playoff spots, as it stands would go to Kuwait, Qatar (3) and Saudi Arabia. So, I hope this isn't going to be how it goes down or as sual we're getting shafted by the AFC BIG time.

بر اساس اعلام کنفدراسیون فوتبال آسیا، الهلال در صدر، استقلال و سپاهان در مکان ششم و هفتم
کنفدراسیون فوتبال آسیا آخرین رده بندی تیم های باشگاهی آسیا را منتشر کرد.

در امتیاز دهی جدید، نتایج تیم ها در مسابقات آسیایی ملاک قرار می گیرد و حضور در مرحله گروهی لیگ قهرمانان آسیا 3 امتیاز، هر برد 3 امتیاز و هر تساوی یک امتیاز دارد.

حضور در مرحله پلی اف 5/1 امتیاز و هر برد نیز همین میزان امتیاز و هر تساوی تیم امتیاز دارد.

البته حضور در مراحل یک هشتم نهایی تا فینال، 3 امتیاز برای هر تیم دربرخواهد داشت و هر برد و مساوی در این مراحل نیز 3 و یک امتیاز دارد.همچنین مجموع عملکرد تیم های باشگاهی یک کشور طی چهار فصل اخیر مسابقات آسیایی، تبدیل به امتیاز باشگاهی آن کشور می شود که 20 درصد آن نیز به مجموع امتیازات هر تیم از هر کشور اضافه می شود و در نهایت این رده بندی شکل می گیرد.


اولین رده بندی منشتر شده تیم های الهلال عربستان، سئول کره جنوبی و الاتحاد عربستان درمکان های اوی تا سوم جدول رده بندی قرار گرفته اند.

استقلال تهران با کسب 84 امتیاز در رده ششم و سپاهان اصفهان نیز با 82 امتیاز در رده هفتم قرار گرفته اند. ذوب آهن و پرسپولیس با 35 امتیاز در رده های سی و دوم و سی سوم حضور دارند و تیم های فولاد خوزستان و تراکتورسازی به ترتیب در رده های 37 و 51 دیده می شوند. صبای قم در رده 91 و مس کرمان نیز در رده 101 ایستاده است.

گفتنی است که این 9 تیم طی چهار فصل اخیر لیگ قهرمانان آسیا نمایندگان ایران بوده اند و در این رده بندی فقط نام تیم های شرکت کننده در مسابقات آسیایی لحاظ خواهد شد.
