At the risk of upsetting some of you here, where did this rumor come about that Beitashour is fast? I've watched his MLS highlights and some games. He doesn't come across as a very fast player. I'm not saying his slow. Mahini is definitely our fastest RB. Fakhredini seems very pacy as well. I think a lot of you are forgetting how good he has been for Esteghlal this season.

Heydari is faster than Beitashour. Just gives an impression of being slow with his strange running motion, but contrary to popular belief, he is pretty fast as he takes very big strides when running while keeping the ball very near his foot. From what I've seen, the only area where I find Steven to be better is defending.Originally posted by Hosseini View PostI respect your opinion, but explain why he was our worst player if he ran like a freight train the whole game against Nigeria?
He was hustling and puffing the whole match and gave 100%. CQ put him in the starting lineup because he is better than Heydari. I'm sure Khosro will start at the AC too.
They are similar type players but I believe Heydari beats Steven offensively, defensively and in transition. Beita is just faster.

You're leaving out one small area that is crucial for defenders in specific....decision making.Originally posted by Zandi360 View PostHeydari is faster than Beitashour. On the ball heydari is very slow at making decisions which is why he struggled a lot in Brazil. He wasn't able to have the time on the ball he usually has in Asia.
Steven on the other hand isn't someone who needs a lot of time to make a choice if he wants to pass, move forward, etc.Team Meli Iran

Beita is pretty fast. I just really want to see him actually play a game with Team Melli before we can judge anything. Once we see him in action in the Asian football environment, then we can criticize his strengths and weaknesses like Davari.Originally posted by Zandi360 View PostHeydari is faster than Beitashour. Well he did start against thiland in the ACQ and got an assist in his first start ... Don't know why people seem to forget that haha
But yeah he deff needs more playing time . Agreed.

For the sake of not changing the topic of this thread and since we had a thread on Heydari before I put my reply there so we can continue the discussionOriginally posted by Hosseini View PostI respect your opinion, but explain why he was our worst player if he ran like a freight train the whole game against Nigeria?

This comes from typical Iranian way of thinking.Originally posted by Camran khan View PostI don't mean to step on any toes, but a lot of the people saying Beita is our man and should start are the same kind of people who previously said Davari should start in the world cup, due to his European and Beita's American upbringing to the sport.

I don't think anyone is saying that.Originally posted by Camran khan View PostI don't mean to step on any toes, but a lot of the people saying Beita is our man and should start are the same kind of people who previously said Davari should start in the world cup, due to his European and Beita's American upbringing to the sport.
We are just saying don't hate on Beita because you have some personal thing against him
He has yet to win a TM starting position.راه یکی است و آن راستی است

Having something personal against him or hating is wrong, we both agree on that, which I'm happy about. But criticizing him, just like you do Khosro, or I would do Beitashour, or DD does Shojaei, is nothing wrong with IMOOriginally posted by rugs View PostI don't think anyone is saying that.

Which I assume you agree on.
