R u been serious... ur telling me that IPl is a head of MLS.Dude watch Navad once in a while see how much of joke the league is.When ur senior Coach falls asleep during matches that says alot abt the leagueOriginally posted by irani1378 View Postin terms of quality and technique IPL is years ahead of MLS. What our league doesn't have is Henry or Beckham. If you take a team of all iranian IPL players and all american MLS players, the Americans would be outclassed.

yes IPL is better than MLS, it is sad that a league at its lowest point, with no organization no proper facilities is years ahead in terms of quality than a rich league.Originally posted by mehdiKia15 View PostR u been serious... ur telling me that IPl is a head of MLS.Dude watch Navad once in a while see how much of joke the league is.When ur senior Coach falls asleep during matches that says alot abt the league

Aslan ur argument is not valid to me.Its ur opinion which is fine but ive been watching both leagues and if i were to compare players wise the MLS has got way better players then IPL. Again i think both leagues are crap. The MLS is way ahead in technic and development then IPL players.toosh shobati nist.If IPL players had the resources then i would say u have a point but as of now IPL is not close at all.Originally posted by irani1378 View Postyes IPL is better than MLS, it is sad that a league at its lowest point, with no organization no proper facilities is years ahead in terms of quality than a rich league.

Stop trolling please. If Steven is one of the best RBs in the league as you say, Ghafouri from the IPL eats him any day of the week. Even Ramin Rezaeian from Rah Ahan who are dead last in the league is better, younger, more talented than him.Originally posted by mehdiKia15 View PostAslan ur argument is not valid to me.Its ur opinion which is fine but ive been watching both leagues and if i were to compare players wise the MLS has got way better players then IPL. Our league is full of talented players that people like you have no idea about until they see them with TM.
Now you go worry about what happens when a vatani coach comes to TM and stops inviting a 4rth/5th choice RB and GK, I think you seem to master that well.

that's a HUGE exaggeration and you know it......Originally posted by irani1378 View Postwe have fullbacks in our 4th division that deserve to be on TM more than him.
I do agree he isn't better than ghafouri, rezaeian and pouladi but aside from that what our other options? maybe I would put vakia ahead of him too but even if, he is still better than majority of fullbacks in the PGL.
- heydari sucks. he is getting worse and worse by the day and should be nowhere near TM. he flopped in the WC and flopped again in the AC.
- hajsafi isn't a LB and when he plays in that position problems arise....he isn't very good at man marking, not as good as beita at least.
- khanzadeh still has to improve a lot more to be considered for TM.
- jamaati is hyped up as hell, CQ cut him before the WC and hasn't invited him since...beita made the cut over him for a reason.
IMO he was definitely pretty weak towards the end of last season in the MLS and his exclusion from TM was pretty justified but when in form playing like he did in the earthquakes, which he is showing sparks of again, is more than deserving of a call up.Team Meli Iran

Having watched enough of Steven and the league players, I estimate these RBs (no LBs, as Steven will probably never play in that position for TM) are better or as good as Beitashour:
-Ghafouri, Rezaeian, Vakia, Montazeri, Fardin Abedini. Khanzadeh, Fakhreddini (as much as I hate the latter) are at least as good as he is, and as you can see for yourself Carlos invites Khanzadeh frequently already, can't say the same for Steven.
Beitashour is probably slightly better than Mahini. I would qualify him as above average for Iranian standards, while we have much better. And the thing is, if you noticed, except Montazeri, all of these guys are also much younger than Steven.
Now let's say he is terribly in-form, he will get his call up, probably regardless of the coach now that he has been discovered and scouted, however most of the time I can't see him better than a 3rd choice RB. Even for his own sake, I wouldn't come all the way from Canada to sit on TM bench, I don't think it's worth it for him either.

Why do you say that? Because of the Iraq game? If so, first goal conceded, the scorer wasn't Hajsafi's man to mark even though it was on the left side, Hajsafi was covering his man just fine. On the second goal, even though his positioning could've been slightly better (arguable, wouldn't say there was anything wrong with his positioning there either), he couldn't estimate that the ball would bounce off our players all the way to the player behind him.Originally posted by ghermez agha View Post- hajsafi isn't a LB and when he plays in that position problems arise....he isn't very good at man marking, not as good as beita at least.
If that's not why, then accept my apologies and nevermind this post.

aziz of course it is a exaggeration, but we both know their are 8-9 more deserving fullbacks than stevieOriginally posted by ghermez agha View Postthat's a HUGE exaggeration and you know it......

Fair enough point, I don't fully agree but agree with most of it. Khanzadeh has been a head scratcher for me because unlike all other suspect players that have been invited under CQ throughout his tenure, he hasn't shown a lot of growth or improvement and has been in poor form for PP for a while. I agree that he has great potential but I don't see any signs of improvement in his game, just my opinion as a red.Originally posted by Z Joon View PostGA jan, with all due respect here is what I think of this
