why cant you guys admit that He is simply OverRated and Just Not that good..??

this is the 3rd coach in Osa this year alone, who has given him a fair chance to prove his worth and he has simply Failed to meet the expectations..!!
its really bad news when you dont even make the playing squad, as desperate as Osa is on offense..!!
my guess is that the Club desperately want Rid of him and dropping him from the playing squad is clearly frustrating him and throwing hints at him to give up on his 2nd year of contract and hit the road..!!?

he should give the Osa mgnt the Beelakh and stay put and force them to dissolve his contract and pay the fine$ or transfer him elsewhere in EU...!! Like Zjoon said he'd be lucky to find even an iranian or arab team to match his current contract with this form ..!!

a small outside chance for him to pull himself out of his current slump is is also scoring some goals in TM in early WCQ rounds vs some tokhmy opponents..!!
So how do you explain Nekounam then?

dont know..??that seems like a bizarre decision..!!? perhaps he is injured or under weather..?i havent seen the last 2-3 matches..??

you said he gave away a goal last match..!!! and they up loosing by one goal..!! so...???

from the few games i saw earlier, Neku seemed a head and shoulder above the quality of half their starting team and for a DM was perhaps the most creative offensive MFder too..!!yet the last Osa game i saw a while back He simply wasnt involved in action enough and his name was rarely mentioned ..!!
being on verge of embarrassing relegation to 3rd division, probably coaches and Mgmt demand more involvement, workrate and hustle..?? probably they expect him to play DM more like Ando(in your face, hustling and tackling and breaking up plays all over the MF) than being his usual self( mostly covering defensive gaps and closing Spaces rather than opponent players and saving your legs and stamina for occasional push into offense ) ????

who knows ??? earlier reports mention he was chosen in the squad but somehow missing that last minute sorta more suggest a late injury, sickness/fitness worries..??

FT 1-1. 3 points from relegation, and the team beneath still has one game less.

Although Ansarifard was known to be dropped ahead of the match, Nekounam was a surprise drop from the squad just before the lineups were announcedhttp://www.vavel.com/es/futbol/osasu...to-amargo.html

"The Bells has relegated David Garcia and Roberto Torres to the substitution and left out of the squad to Nekounam"

Alright then, Nekounam should leave Osasuna at the end of the season and become CQ's assistant! Way to go to thank a legend for your club by treating him like crap. Disgusting move by Osasuna IMO! He came back to help the team and accepted a huge salary cut only to be considered as "not fully committed" later on!

                Screw these guys.

If Ansarifard has done poorly, then what can we say about the rest of the strikers?

With the exception of Nino (who has 10 + years of experience in La Liga and Liga Adelente), they have done even worse... yet they get way more opportunities than him.

Kenan Kodro has double the games (and double the minutes) and has 2 goals, one of which was the penalty today.

At least in the majority of Ansarifard's games he has created something offensively (including an incorrect offside goal).

How many games has he gotten where he played 75+ minutes?

Here are Ansarifard's minutes by game this season (ordered from start of the season to now):

                  vs Santander = 29 mins
                  vs Tenerife = 89 mins
                  vs Gijon = 22 Mins
                  vs Betis =46 mins
                  vs Albacete = 9 mins
                  vs Girona = 90 mins
                  vs Mirandes = 65 mins
                  vs Valladolid = 1 min
                  vs Alaves = 71 mins
                  vs Llagostera = 76 mins
                  vs Lugo = 64 mins
                  vs Santander = 18 mins
                  vs Tenerife = 8 mins
                  vs Girona = 17 mins
                  vs Mirandes = 64 mins
vs Las Palmas = 9 mins

So 4 / 16 appearances or 25% of his games he played less than 10 minutes

8 / 16 appearances or 50% of his games he played less than 30 minutes

3 / 16 appearances or 18% of his games he played more than 75 minutes

So while 0 goals in 16 appearances can be very bad when taken out of context, when we actually look at how much he was played per game we can see that the lack of goals makes more sense.

The guy hasn't even gotten 30 mins in half of his games this year. Throw in the fact that Osasuna is already poor offensively (look at their midfield passing stats) and even worse defensively, and things start to make more sense.

Osasuna was a train wreck from game 1 this season and the hopes of promoting immediately after relegating were lost quickly. This is a tough place for a new comer to the league to learn and grow.

I still think he will stay for next season. If they can get a grip, they can promote. If he has a part in the team's success, he might even play in La Liga the next season.

                  EDIT: One more interesting stat.

In games where he played at least a half, Osasuna won 12 of a possible 24 points. Not too shabby for a team 1 spot above relegation at the moment.

Osasuna now is in the first relegation spot on goal difference since Racing Santander won their game against Numancia with 2-0.

Next week's game: Recreativo Huelva (H).

Very interesting analysis, thanks for that. Some strikers are not effective as so called impact substitutes and require a whole game to adapt and perform.

I think the reason the others strikers (or attacking MF) like Kodro get more time maybe due to the fact that they are all Spanish. Since Karim and Kodro are not that significantly different stat-wise, coach obviously prefers a homegrown player than a foreigner.

Dude you have too much hope for Karim. If he wanted to do something he had done it by now. His time in Osa is done. He either will be on bench or sold to 3rd division Spanish club or an IPL team. Mark my words. Osa is a crappy team now. I said this some weeks ago but some guys here has too much hope for this team and Karim. Good luck relegating to 3rd division.

Due to Spanish press, it appears Nekounam is injured and therefore could miss Osasuna's next match. This could also be the reason for his exclusion for the last game:

"With an eye to this game, Enrique Martin Monreal led a session that excluded Nekounam, who is overloaded right hamstring, and Vujadinovic, who retired with a bruised left hip iliac blade; Sisi and Nino, with active rest, held a smaller workload."

Ansarifard and Nekounam again both not even in the squad according to Osasuna's Twitter page.

Looks like the coach is done with them and does not intend to use them anymore.

It's strange that Karim did their press conference before the new coach's first match and started the game. He must have really dissapointed in the game and in training. Javad could still be a little unfit.
