Hope the Braga thing happens for Haghighi.

They're pretty much guaranteed a group stage appearance for the Europa league, unless they lose the Taca de Portugal final to Sporting AND Guimaraes catches up to them in the table in the remaining 2-3 games (2 games remaining for Braga, 3 for Guimaraes with Braga 5 points ahead).

If both of those things happen, they'll have to join the Europa League in the 3rd qualifying round (which is before the playoff round for the Group stage).

According to Portuguese newspapers, Haghighi was the best player of his team in the game against benfica

^ there is a long off season ahead & Russoan league is still in progress, so it makes sense for him to return back to Rubin for time being.
There is still a Good chance that some team in Portugal premier league make an offer for his services, considering he has already proven that he can play that their level..!

Funny to compare Iranian fans' analysis of his performances with those by impartial journalists. A classic example of the microscope effect.

According to Portuguese sources, Haghighi is injured and will not be able to feature in Penafiels final home game of the season against Gil Vicente. Their second keeper Coelho is most likely out as well leaving the 3rd choice as the only option. Penafiel will play FC Porto away next week in the final match of the season giving Haghighi (if fit by then) a good chance to show off his skills to any potential suitors:

"The goalkeeper Haghighi is the major absence in Penafiel's squad for the meeting of the 33rd and penultimate round, against Gil Vicente on Sunday. The guardian of penafidelense team is injured and, therefore, is not Carlos Brito option for the last meeting in the house of the Douro team."

Article about Penafiels season in the Portuguese first division and their relegation. They mention haghighi as being instrumental in a few games and that he was the reason for preventing losses:The Iranian goalkeeper Haghighi was also instrumental in various games to prevent defeat.

On the negative side, evidence for Aldair and Mbala, which, in theory, were the two main assets, both formed in the club, but did not confirm the expectations."

F.C. Penafiel just got promoted to the highest league of Portugal. They are currently at the bottom of the table with 0 out of 2. Let's hope Haghighi shows what he is made of and helps them out.
