Just checked on UEFA youth league website and he isn't really a starter. It seems he can play CB as well and he was at fault for the goal they conceded to Roma. Definitely a good prospect though as he gets playing time in u19 bundesliga as well
We have two or three other prospects in Germany if I'm not wrong

Kafashi, DON'T SCREW THIS ONE UP!!!!Originally posted by TheBoss View PostTM plans for future
At around 1:40 mark Kafashian confirmed that he has received letters from Holland and Germany asking IFF to come sit down and talk about a friendly match between Iran and them.

A really great interview with Alireza Haghighi. Say whatever you want about this dude and his goalkeeping abilities, but he is a damn professional.
If one of the members can spend some time translating some of the important parts, it would be great. It's worth it. His goals in football are really admirable.

its pivotal to remember that the uefa youth league is for players all players under 21. That means he is also playing with many players from the u21 team that are 2 years older than him. The fact that he is still able to play 2 out of 3 games shows how highly they rate him. Plus his versatility seems to be an asset as he can play in defense or midfield. He is a starter for their u19's, which is still high level as well. Plus given some of his social media stuff, identifying as "moslem" , following iranian football, etc we may have a real chance of getting this player on board.Originally posted by Malavani View PostJust checked on UEFA youth league website and he isn't really a starter. Iran would beat The Netherlands in their current form for sure. They are toothless against opponents who play with compact and tight defence like we do.Originally posted by TheBoss View PostTM plans for future

The funny thing is that the vast majority (not all) Dutch football fans think that Iran is crap, I would love them to get beaten in front of their own eyes.

A tie will be enough for them to realize the situation. Dutch are also like us living in glory of their past.
