When that failed, they decided to pay huge amounts of money to some poor Lebanese players to at least secure the 6 points. When that also failed, they selled their own mothers to Uzbekistan in hope of Iran not qualifying either.

I can't help but laugh when I see my fellow iroonis making a huge deal out of Persian gulf arab teams and their supposed footballing skills. Their best tactic is still grass rolling and having a guy yelling in a megaphone from the bleachers for 90 minutes.
