Possible Team Melli Call Ups Playing Abroad

Iran is being Europe and South American but Iran is not Nepal. Afghanistan has some players from the 3rd German league and even 2. Bundesliga in their national team, Lebanon from 2. Bundesliga, and this guy maybe deserves a call up there, but not in Iran. Some of you guys just aim too low out of desperation. If this guy gets into a better team, fine we should test him, but for now, his "CV" is far from showing a TM worthy call-up.

Massimo Luongo plays for Swindon Town in the 3rd league of England. You saw he had a good row of performances for Australia at the Asian Cup. I thought they had another fixed player in their team who is from the 2.Bundesliga playing for Ingolstadt.

As you see, for Asian standards these leagues are not bad.

Kiarash jan, those leagues are not worthy as Zandi Joon said but the important issue here is not the league but quality of a player. If a player performance is good enough he can get the call up no matter playing in Azadegan or 3. Bundesliga. Sometimes clubs are struggling to promote to next level and a single player can not lift a whole team. Good agents can see the potentials in the player and suggest him to CQ or other great names. This way every possible talent can find their way to the top without wasting their times in lower leagues for years like Vahid Amiri.

We have to understand that Iranians are so vastly wide spread around the world. The fact that their are so many foreign based Iranian players all over the world such as Manouchehri in Chile to Beitashour in the US and Hasegawa in Japan. It's great. We should be really happy that we have so many options both domestically and foreign. My opinion on this is mixed because if you look at it from a domestic perspective, specially now, were starting to produce talents in a variety of different teams from Ezzatolahi in Malavan to Jahanbakhsh in Damash Gilan etc and the fact that some are going to Europe to further develop their game is brilliant. Yet we know Europe develops players well and we know we have many many players in Europe, now be it in lower leagues, which I can't understand why we argue about this so much because you can't expect everyone to play in the premier divisions or even to say lower league players aren't worthy or good enough, it's LIMITING the vast amount of options we have. Why should we forget about lower league players? This just shortens our huge amount of Iranian players. We must keep our options open and allow the lower league players to still be part of our giant 'database' of Iranian players. We want to be able to say one day we can make TWO half decent national teams because we have so many players both domestically and based in foreign countries. I believe it would be a huge mistake if we just say 'no' to lower league foreign based Iranians because we have to admitt quite a lot of the lower league teams are better than most of the IPL teams. YES a good team doesn't neccesarily mean a better player but it shows that the player can make use of high quality facilities and probably better coaching which develops a player mantally, physically and technically. I'm referring to the likes of Radjabali-Fardi and Co.

So please allow this thread to be used as a way to open our eyes to the vast amount of Iranians in foreign based countries, if they aren't good enough for a TM call up then let's see if he develops into a better player.

Sorry bud, you need to get your facts right. Afghanistan hast players from the 5th and 6th leagues of Germany. I would say even the Regionalligas ( 4th german league) are far above IPL. Just watch them play

Easily and highly disagreed. A 3rd German league team wouldn't play as well as an IPL team in front of Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea etc.. they would most likely get badly battered 8-0er style. And the day a 3rd league player, let alone 4th will take the starting spot over an IPL player in TM, and the day you will find similar talents as Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun, Pouraliganji, Ezzatolahi or players of the caliber of Amiri and Ghafouri (just to cite few current player names or else I'll write a novel) in the leagues you mention, we can have a "serious" discussion over this.

No need to mention how much of a failure Amir Shapourzadeh, 2. Bundesliga player, ex Bundesliga player, was when he played in the Iranian league (also got relegated to Azadegan and sat on the bench for a year there ) and how much of a failure he was with TM. I know slating the IPL is pretty popular and easy to criticize, but those are some wild claims you have there bud

Shapourzadeh was one of the top assisters of the whole league in his first season with Estil Azin. Dont think he was a failure..

Meanwhile as a striker, he had an impressive record of 4 goals out of 30 games in the 09-10 season, as well as 0 goals out of 11 games in 10/11. He proceeded to sit on the bench on for the entire 11/12 season with 0 games in Iran's 2nd league. His entire career in Iran could be summed up by: one of the worst starting strikers in the league on his first season, benchwarmer in his 2nd season, and nonexistent in the Azadegan league.

That pretty much sounds like a failure to me, especially considering it's in a league that is apparently even worst than the 3rd German division.

In the 11/12 season he did not play because of money reasons or something, and after few month he signed with Kickers Offenbach. Anyways he had probably 6 assists that first year haha. But seriously he was not that bad as i followed Estil Azin that season closely, because of the wizard and because Shapourzadeh is a (although very distant, dont know each other) family member.

About his goal rate, he was never a pure striker anyways bute more like a supporting one or right winger. And he was not a real good pro player in Germany anyways, even in Bundeslia 2 average at best. He was a good player in German amateur leagues (4th division), where he scored and assisted a lot. Hes also playing 4th division football since over 2 years now.

Wow, this is the first time I had heard about Still Azin.

I did a quick wiki on them to find out about them and realised that they won the league, only to relegate two season after.

The league must of been in shambles back then.!

Still Azin never won the IPL, they won the Azadegan league.

I'm sorry, but unfortunately (for few people, but fortunately for TM) no 3rd German division player has ever or will ever make TM, even over average IPL players let alone top ones, as long as we don't become Philippine or Nepal footballing wise, and unless the player is performing incredibly, being an obvious standout in the whole league. Whether it's under Ghalenoei or CQ.

Stephan Schrock would be a beast in TM as much as Dejagah would be beast with Germany. I've had this discussion countless times with different members and I'm pretty sure I've made my point.
