Is there any chance of Azadi Stadium being upgraded? Azadi needs renovation badly IMO.

it will be the modir of azadi complex said it will take 2 years and 60 million euros, they are looking to add a roof to the stadium

According to this end of July it will be ready. However I haven't seen any pictures that would confirm this.

That is an area of confusion. Original design: 2 levels + roof. However their was a suggestion that they fully compete lower tier and clear everything and just use one level. However I think now they want to finish both levels (which will take atleast 6 months to a year).

Its designed and 80% constructed but they won't install seats nor will they put material on the roof.

No he means the second floor is not meant to be used from the beginning. It's only for the design.
I just don't get why they can not have a roof. If not for the low levels of rain in Esafahn, at least many people can hide from the sun, watching the games in hot seasons. Not the least for the look of the stadium.
