The club's decision-makers seem to rate him highly, otherwise they wouldn't have tied him down this early. On top of that, Gladbach's centre-back situation looks fairly thin at the moment, only four centre-backs in the squad, and realistically just two of them are established at bundesliga level. That could open the door for him at some point, whether that means training with the first team, a spot on the bench, or even a few minutes here and there.
