Sure, it's because the offside happened when the first arrow happened.

I watched the game two times now, the second image shows the red 2nd defender which the VAR showed to claim offside but the real last defender was the goalie as he was closer to the goal than shoja. And the last defender played the role of the goalie so it couldnt be offside unless the goalie was farther away from goal which he wasnt. Look at the second image and you would see what I mean. The keeper has filled the offside clearly and also passed the ball to shoja himself. so to me it was not offside. And none of us are referees but to me this was not offside.

I think your diagram is off, in this instance the keeper is not the 2nd line of defence, it's Egypt no9. I've watched it a few times now as well.

I think we can all agree, whether this is offside or not - the offside rule was not introduced for this situation, it was introduced to stop the attacking team parking a player deep in the other half and punting long balls at them all game. These 2cm highly technical offside calls that are called by VAR (impossible to be called by the human linesman) during a scrap in the box was not the intention when the rule was introduced. FIFA needs to review this whole thing.

It wasn’t offside I watched it over and over again the Egyptian passed it to Shoja , it was a deflection and when the ball left ghorbani foot shoja was not offside

I made it while watching the goal. Please look at it when you watch the goal. The goalie filled the offside himself and also passed the ball to shoja from a deflection. Maybe I am mistaken but this is what I saw and regardless of any FIFA rules and based on what I know.

A deflection is not considered a pass, however a shot on goal is. Shoja is offside by literally a toe of his right foot when the shot is taken.

Consider it this way, if a deflection was not considered a pass, you could still park an attacker next to the other team's goalkeeper and keep punting long balls, if the keeper fumbles it, and the attacker scores - are they offside? Yes. Because the fumble isn't a pass.

I just want to reiterate, the fact that we're even having this debate nullifies the whole thing - this should be a goal, using AI to dig out highly technical offside goals against a rulebook that was written before this technology was introduced is not in the best interests of the game.

^ please tell me which player is he 2 inches ahead from?? the keeper or the defender? then we continue

And I agree they are destroying the game but I am not talking about why they didnt let it go, but why they did not show the goal scene a couple of times and sufficed with a photoshop AI image that in my eyes did not even represent what really happened. If you are going by that image you are forgetting other factors. We just are trying to figure out on which ground or rules they called this goal offside otherwise I could care less honestly because other than a game, it does not bring anything good to our people. By the way a header can be a deflection of if the ball deflects off your back or any body parts. They all jump in the air and are not sure where or who is going to deflect it, hence if a defender touched the ball and it goes to a player who is in an offside position, it is not called offside.

Remember that your arm cannot keep a player onside (or put them offside). From this angle, Egypt No9 is the 2nd line of defence, and Shoja's toe is over the line.

I also would like to see this from many more angles, I don't trust the AI image at all. But from this one view they give us the VAR call seems technically correct..

^ I think you should take it a frame or two back because nobody can shoot at this position he must have been standing before shooting then fell but in this image he is falling already so if you take it back a frame or two, you would see that shoja was even more behind and not offside. But we both know that many other decisions were not even called with VAR like the kick on the head and other incidents. The VAR is not to make the game fair, it is to make it the way they want.

and the line you drew is not perfectly straight on the far side of it. I looked at it again and to me this was not offside.

^ I took it back a frame or two frames and it doesnt look offside to me what do you think? as you can clearly see Ghorbani is in a correct shooting position versus your iumage where he was falling backwards.

In that case, it would not be offside - what we're now debating is the line was not correctly drawn / cameras / AI were wrong (which I 100% agree could be the case - I would like to see more camera angles too and not the laughable AI drawing). However if his foot was where the VAR says it was, it's technically offside

^ my question was why they never showed any other angles? in this angle you can clearly see he was not offside.
