    It was the best TM we ever had in terms of raw talent. 2018 and 2022 was the best players we have now (in their peak). I wouldnt put how good we were on CQ. CQ would be an above average manager if we made it out of the group stages. Hence why I say he's average and overrated.

    He had 3 chances!!

    How was our hard defense vs Belgium any different to what we did under CQ? The difference is, under CQ we had the same team in their prime.

    One thing I respect about GNs grandpa team is that they're a bit more confident than previous WC teams. Maybe it's age and experience idk, but previous 3 WC under CQ I felt embarrassed about how nervous the players were.

        Iranian players dont have a professional approach to football hence even if we bring a high level coach, we will not be effective or successful.

        We need to advance mentally and physically first. CQ will bring better results for professional players and teams just like Ghana. We are still amateur and will only get below par results until we change.

          it is all part of a circle, you have to have a good league and coaches to have a good national team. African players do not play in their national league (many of them do not have leagues), they move to Europe from a young age and learn professionalism.

          whereas in Iran, our players run toward IPL in droves each off-season because they want free money and no professionalism. That is the mentality. We need to drain the money out of our league system so players are incentivized to leave Iran for a more professional environment. But this is all part of IRI propaganda to keep players and celebrities close with money.
          IRI = FAILED

            ^ with a regime like that, there is no way we can work on infrastructure in football. What else has this in Iran? So we can dream a lot but comes the day, we cannot achive big goals.

              Yeah true πŸ˜‚ anyway I'm not saying CQ is bad, he's obviously better than GN, but I wish we did more attacking under him when it was needed e.g vs Nigeria, USA, England after we were down etc...

                Has it occurred to you that maybe we were not ready for it then??

                  Big game is coming up for CQ and I really hope that he does fantastic against Colombia. I’m not sure who saw the talk with Rahmati today in which he stated that CQ kicked him out from the team and he’s the one that took the most damage from that, however, CQ is a fantastic coach and that he brought 25 s to the Iranian team. He specifically spoke about Rezaiian And how he was a CQ product. And for one second compare this loser with a fat stomach GN And how he failed miserably were 32 teams qualified out of 48. Truly a pathetic result and a complete failure.
