Embarrassing. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Regardless of affiliation or political preference, the support has been great.
I was at both games and everybody were against TM. People had the L & S flag everywhere and booed the IR anthem. I really dont get what you guys saw because I can post videos here or just go see and post one video that you claim the people supported TM. Just one.

Was at both games too. Booed the anthem but the crowd was very pro TM, Belgium game more so but we blew the top off the stadium when we scored in the NZ game. The only issue I had was someone getting in my face and following us almost to our car when I was leaving the game and scaring the shit out of my 7 year nephew after the NZ game.

I had quite few friends and family who went to both or one game and they also mentioned over 90% of flags were S& L and people booed the IR anthem but majority supported TM!

A couple of family members went and they mentioned the same. A lot of boos during the anthem but most Iranians were supporting TM.

It's difficult to judge by watching on TV, but I got the same feeling when watching both games.

Going to the game in Seattle I wonder what the crowd will be like since LA was basically a home game for TM

So you say you were at the stadium. Lol so how could people with lion and sun flag support TM??? You guys are just blind I guess or have wishful thinking.

If you heard the booes on the anthem, those came from the same people you claim were supporting TM. Don't try too hard it won't work.

I was also at the Belgium game and, like others have mentioned, there was a huge boo at the anthem but very pro TM once the game started. The whole stadium erupted when we thought we scored!

Sure, there were shir o khorshid flags but the whole stadium was chanting for TM. There was a small group nearby that tried chanting pro shah chants but the crowd didn't follow. Great atmosphere overall and felt very unified. Hope this continues in Seattle!

I was at the New Zealand game and like everyone is saying the people who took shir o khorshid flags (the correct flag) were booing the IR anthem but cheering and yelling as soon as Iran scored. It’s a conflicting reaction but what I saw is what I saw.

^ that is natural as we are Iranians and love Iran but in no ways people cheered for players as this was just a normal reaction of any fan for our country and not the regime and their players.

That's right. Exactly my experience in both games. Once the whistle blew for the game to start, almost entirely supporting the team.

I was at both games in LA as well. The crowd was pro team Melli. There were a lot of shir o korshid flags. There were clear boos during the national anthem. The conflict was between Iranians amongst themselves. This mainly occurred outside of the stadium. But confusingly somehow the crowd like you said was still overall pro team Melli during the match. Very confusing lol.
