Let's be honest, even if Belgium gets a red card in minute 1, we still wouldn't win. Maybe 2 or 3 red cards would make it an even match up and we could get a tie, but this team made New Zealand look like Belgium. We've never been risers. Some players in every sport can rise to the occasion, even with a weak team. Lebron James for example in his prime would carry 4 dead bodies to the finals. Messi is similar. Our players could have an 11 v 1 situation but are so mentally weak, they would blow it if it was a must win situation to progress in something meaningful. Iranians have had so much stress in our lives in Iran and abroad from all these motherfucker IR bastards, that we shake with anxiety at the thought of a big moment.

If we still had amoo Carlos as coach, I'd be much more confident. The issue now is that the defence is soooo weak that Lukaku and De Bruyne will eat us alive. There is just no way we can last 90 minutes against this team when we cannot keep a clean sheet against New Zealand or weaker teams.

I'm being super negative now, but our best hope, (which is a very long shot) is to draw against Egypt and hope that many results go our way in other groups to just qualify as one of the best third placed teams.
