Damn I really wanted Belgium to win. But they only have themselves to blame. They were sitting way too deep in the second half. It was bound they would concede a goal.

Losing Courtois really hurt them. He would have cleared that ball much better than the substitute keeper.

I am proud of the first 78 minutes. The total headloss just showed signs of inexperience. I also think the injuries to Ashour and Hassan had us lose our shape/confidence. I definitely think the second goal should have stood, especially since Argentina literally scored from a similar situation against Austria. VAR is selective, unfortunately. I also put this on Marmoush. He passed the ball to Salah and ran towards him, took the ball off him and then messed up the easiest of through balls to Trezeguet when it was a 3v1. He gets that pass right and we win the game most likely. All he had to do after passing to Salah was run straight down the middle then Salah would have had options to his left and right. The Argentina fans showed no class either and a lot of them even resorted to racism lol. I agree that FIFA is clearly helping them, it was evident in the last WC too when Messi wasn't sent off.

France is too good though. Even if Argentina is assisted against them, they'll lose.

why the players go by the names of ex- stars like Trezequet, Zico, Zizo and why they are even allowed to use these names in official sheet and behind jersey?

A lot of players in Egypt have very similar names, or in many cases, the exact same name. Ex. There could be 3 different players named Ahmed Hassan all playing for the NT. Or on their clubs in Egypt starting out, so they'll go by nicknames that eventually stick. All the Aston Villa fans would call him Trezeguet when he played for them, thinking it's his actual surname lol. We used to have a striker named Mido that played for Ajax/Tottenham in the early 2000s. His name was Ahmed Hossam. There were probably 5-6 other players with the same name in the league when he started out at Zamalek in Egypt.

looking at the quality of play in the Norway/England game versus the Argentina/Swiss game. So sad that the winner of Argentina versus Switzerland game goes to the semifinals
