He was basically saying we are handicapping ourselves playing so defensively.

That's why I was good with CQ departing after 8 years. He taught our football how to arrange a defence. Was incredibly effective that way. Nobody in Asia could open up our defense.

But we needed to be daring too... approach each game with not just confidence but real ambition. We're back to our old mouse like mentality.

I think someone like Renard will be beneficial to us. His teams are usually very ambitious as well as having an OK defense.

Hats of to Cap Verde, they played a really good world cup.

I dont want to take anything away from Cap Verde but they are like a Morocco light version, the majority of their players are portuguese born and had their football education in Portugals academies, thats why they could compete on this level as they did with the mix of heart and fighting spirit.

If we had a normal government that invested in our football infrastructure 30 years ago in combination with focusing on players mindset to not chill in gulf leauges and ipl and instead go to Europe in a early age we would be like Japan today if not better.

We have everything, huge country, large football mad population, good physiqe and technical players due to gool koochik culture, but zero management and infrastructure.

You can have a Ferrari, but if you put a blind and a deaf driver behind it will still drive in to the gutter.
