Amazing how far the USMNT has come since 1998 for a country in which soccer still trails Football, Basketball and maybe even Baseball in popularity and how much Iran or IR Iran rather has regressed since then.

We will never live up to our potential and achieve similiar results like the one in 98 against the US team in a world cup again because USMNT has passed us and is well ahead of us now. As if Own Goals happen just because, not due to the other team playing well and putting pressure on defense. As If US didn't score a 2nd goal. As If US is not atop of their group now and didn't destroy Paraguay in the previous game. I swear useful idiots with mindsets like yours are the reason for why Iran is what it is today.

ok, so the fact that I don't believe Austalia's mistake in the backfield with an own goal, their lack of distributing from the defenders is the actual reason that they're losing, now makes me an IR supporter.
