It used to be a dream for me to watch TM live at a world cup, and it's happening close enough that I could go to the games, but the care has been stolen from me. I woke up today feeling so bad that of all the things IR has taken from us, even something so insignificant as caring about football they also stole. I'm not the one who will sit down and speculate whether Taremi or Jahanbakhsh, etc. are pro-regime or not. If IR falls tomorrow (which I would love), I don't think many players would take a moment to switch allegiance to the new Iran flag (outside of Torabi, Khalilzadeh and few others who I'm fine going away from the team).

With that said, just seeing the crab flag and hearing that invader anthem play and knowing how people are suffering under this regime, I just don't feel motivated to care for TM. I get emotions are high and it's easy to turn on each other and call each other names and vatan foroush and whatnot, but all of this is just a result of IR's bullshit. I hate them for so many reasons, and ruining my care for TM is another one to add to the list. I remember PFDC being such a bright spot of my day from 2010 reading news, speculating, and sharing so many fun experiences as I cared so much. So many great members who contributed for years and I thank webmaster jan for giving us the platform. But I started noticing familiar names going silent, especially after the pandemic. Their love of the team slowly withering away. Then I noticed myself logging on less and less, and it made me sad. I didn't care to speculate on whether Dennis Eckert or whoever would help TM (i even cared about Aria Hasegawa and those two Nazari brothers a decade ago), but now I just shrug my shoulders. They did this on purpose, and it's just sad. They slowly withered down any hope or care we Iranians have, and I dream of a day when TM is playing under a new flag and we have our legends like Karimi, Daei, Sardar, etc. given the honor they deserve instead of being censored from history by the bastard regime.

ONE of main REason is the age of the members have gotten older .they have seen so many soccer matches in their life time ,it has became boring.
Member that started here in the 90s or early 2000 are mid 40s to early 50s now ,so the joy has increased .everything else u said I respect .

Regarding the 40 k that was killed by the regime , yes the i.r was responsible for the massacre (worst massacre since hollycust in 36 hrs ) BUt reza pahlavai is also responsible for that massacre For calling a farakhan without any back up, and he even give farakhan one day after the massacre as well . If u see 40k are dead ,why u send them back in the street again.

Regarding u not caring about this version of tm , imo u are wrong. What do u want our players to do? Don't go , then they will send another 26 players. Take it as soccer and iran don't take it as these players are representing the ir , take it as they represent iran , as I say if taremi refuse call up they take another player.
I give u above advise because we where both kids when we came here and we both are still around, someone else I would not care to give this advise too.

Sayyadmanesh had an injury so wasn’t available the last fifa match day last 5 games he’s been injured for 3 and subbed off early for two - he’s got fitness issues it’s clear as day

Eckert is also injured now

Azmoun is also injured and missed the last 2 games in acle - Shabab al Ahli fans are complaining about his poor fitness a lot

seems like all 3 of these options face a race against time to get fit

That is possible, but I'm still following other sports and my favorite teams as closely as ever, so not sure it's entirely on just losing interest in the footballing aspect of TM. As others have said, IR and IFF as an extension of IR have actively and passively deteriorated the status of TM. Their corruption causes TM to not have the resources, organization, grassroots levels to succeed like our talent would allow. It's partial 3rd world theocratic corruption, but also by design, in my opinion. TM was getting people too excitable, like dancing, so IR needed the team to just be good enough to save face and qualify for tournaments, but weak and fragile enough to never succeed and give people an idea that they can succeed in burying this mullah regime. Hope is a dangerous thing for IR, gotta keep people hopeless.

When the system is a wrong system it effects the entire structure, the fact that iran system is bad is not the discussion here,.discussion is SHould we support the national team of iran under any system? Why should be prisoners of the system?
tomorrow let's say there is another regime in iran ,there will some percentage of people against that system as well ,NOw that tm will be be followed by them because they are against that regime and system.
My theory is to support the name of iran only , because any other way it will bring disunity among everyone. Look how proud the Mexicans are for their national team regardless of who is in charge, Colombians as well.

I think all the ready to go inform foreign players should be invited doesn’t matter that position they play , if they in form and ready to play invite them , cause we need to have the experience we need to have as much talent as we can now …. These games are going to be close maybe even separated by 1 goal ……
