Growing up in USA I can say two things:

1) Their athletes are built different. They can make any team physically tire out and dont be surprised to see only Australia out of the three match them for physicality.

2) Sports Psychology in US is #1 in the world. They mentally prepare them to be winners in every point, match, and tournament. It is the opposite of Iranians as a culture who either self-flagellate or breaks out into argument and fingerpointing.

When you watch their games it is the same. They are down 2-0 to Brazil with 5 minutes to go but they still believe they can do it. We would never think that way.

It is pretty painful I just saw the list for IPL practice squad players for WC 26

Two player who fucked up esteghal all season Aref aghasi , he made like 10 mistakes every game in the IPL, and rozbeh chesmi are there in the squad

But KUSHKI and SAMAN FALLAH who in my opinion were the best players esteghlal had all season are absent

so leave it to this idiot GN to get all of the simple details and decisions wrong

we couldn’t have a bigger moron in charge of TM , but the country is run by morons so we can’t expect much anyway from these IFF clowns who can do anything really

Even if we sent a super team to the WC, we still would struggle. Why? Because diaspora is convinced they are a regime team due to unrealistic standards and instagram. Its not possible to play high pressure football when thousands of your hamvatan will likely be out there cursing at you and or chanting bisharaf like 2022. These guys will be under the most pressure of any team and will face protests, slander, death threat, etc. They are not leading the Pahlavi revolution therefore they are considered enemies of diaspora.

They also have zero motivation to actually show up, they are there to collect their world cup paycheck and retire afterwards. Most of them have been hearing nonstop bombs go off for 50 days, being football fit is probably the least of their worries when they got way more important things to worry about.
